Super Mario Land, Alleyway and Link's Awakening DX on 3DS Virtual Console.

The Game Boy really was an incredible little machine, wasn't it?

After a lot of tinkering and swearing (strawberry floating ecm files) I got ePSXe up and running. Playing Crash 2 for the first time in eons. Loving it upscaled to HD.

Next step, Smackdown! 2. I will relive my childhood this week.

I played Smackdown 2 on ePSXe a couple of months back. You won't be disappointed. Even got a couple of multiplayer games in with my mate.

I would be playing Super Metroid but my copy seems to have gone missing. Spent ages rummaging in the box before I relented and counted the carts - sure enough there were only 130. I'm one down. :(

I hear you. I use ePSXe quite extensively and it's a bugger to get working. The plugins are bad enough as you gotta keep swapping them in and out 'til you find that sweet comination that best matches your PC but then you have to convert those frigging ECM files.

Nevermind, Suikoden and Wild Arms were more than worth it.

Also I'm a noob here, doesn't talking about emulation get you modded/banned? I got modded and a warning once on another forum for even a brief mention of emulation.

Being playing about with the latest version of Mame. There's some pretty funky options for emulating the look of old Arcade monitors. I still haven't' worked out how to play the game within a bezel though.

I've been playing Equinox on a SNES emulator. I used to have it as a kid (still do somewhere in my mam and dad's attic) and out of nowhere I got a massive nostalgic urge for it this afternoon.

I hated it when I was younger. It's solid. I'd be really struggling without save states now. The isometric graphics look quite pretty though.

Recently got a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play.

Came with the original Crash Bandicoot installed. Which is gooseberry fool. Never liked it back in the day, like it even less now.

Anyways. I've put a Snes emulator on it so have been getting daily retro fixes. Mainly been playing:

Super Mario Kart: Just like when I was 6 or 7 this game causes me to rage. Though now my mum can't ban me from playing it.

Link to the Past: Never really played this before (tried it a few years go on my PC emulator but didn't like playing with a keyboard) and am really enjoying it. Not very far into it (just got the first pendant thingy) has a lovely feel to it though. And dat music.

Plok: Childhood favourite which really holds up well. As good as I remember really.

Also have on there:

Super Mario World - Classic that I've played so many times before
NBA Jam - Fun in small doses, not as fun because of lack of multiplayer
Starwing - Haven't really played much of yet and didn't really play back in the day
Final Fight - Likewise this

Got NES and Mega Drive Emulators on the phone now so have just put Streets of Rage and Super Mario Bros on. Nostalgia overdose.

Quake (with graphics mod) and Serious Sam.

I got a little handheld nunchuck trackball thing and although it's not quite a mouse it's great for couch/laptop gaming, so I'm playing some classics on my netbook.

strawberry float Super Mario Kart. strawberry float it and its strawberry floating 100cc races and strawberry floating cheating bastard racers. This was never that difficult before.

Gone back to playing Super Mario World. I'm guess it's the controls on my phone but I keep strawberry floating dying. The buttons on my phone just can't match that of a SNES pad. Seriously, I've played this game so many times. . Yet for some reason I'm now making school-boy errors all over the place. I wasted like 20 lives today trying to get the secret exit on the bridge level. :fp:

Still, apart from the dodgy controls I'm still loving it. And it still amazes me. The amount of detail and content. So many "HOLY strawberry floating gooseberry fool I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!" moments when playing this.

Definitely one of my all time favourite games.
