Isn't guys (plural) a gender neutral term these days anyway?

It was "Did you just assume their gender?"

I was loath to post it as, on it's own and out of context it can be seen simply as a statement. But it's not. Similar to "I identify as a [insert random object here] and the "Demon is an offensive term" line from the DOOM Eternal trailer, it takes language used by vulnerable people to protect again hate speech and turns it against them. It mocks them for wanting to be recognised.

I imagine there will be at least one response here along the lines of "I don't see a problem with this" and if that's your first impulse I ask that you stop, consider that you don't see a problem because you are (probably) a cis man and that this is dealing with issues of discriminatory language that you simply have little to no experience of.

I've made that joke a few times before

Consider me enlightened.

edit: it was once, about Denster - so that doesn't really count :shifty:

So glad that the marketing of a cyberpunk game, a genre typically about punching up and sympathising with the marginalized, sees fit to make tired witless jokes punching down at the marginalized

Fair enough, it's a 50 minute no-breaks live gameplay demo.

Still, would be nice to have a small 3 minute video or some screenshots.

IGN are currently interviewing CD Projekt Red and just asking the same old questions.

"So will there be a character creator in this?"

Yeah I saw that. Awful.

The guy's reaction when they asked him about footage was interesting: there's almost definitely going to be another trailer at the MS briefing.

Very doubtful.

Why would CD Projekt be taking interviews JUST BEFORE a new trailer is shown?

Um, why wouldn't they? But you might be right.

Well surely they'd take the interviews after the supposed new trailer as there'd be new points to discuss.

MS don't have a briefing...Inside Xbox is FAR FAR worse. It does contain genuine news about stuff unfortunately (as I loathe to watch it)

They did a stage conference last year didn't they?

Do recall it being criticised for being too close to E3 though with little new to show.

New screenshots

These are taken from the E3 behind closed door demo, Danny O'Dwyer (formerly of GameSpot) has confirmed the image quality and the events shown accurately match the demo shown.

Last image reminds me of Pris in Blade Runner.

This is what I want, just rip off everything from Blade Runner, The Matrix, Jonny Mnemonic, 12 Monkeys, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Ergo Proxy and just throw it in a huge strawberry floating blender!
