:(

There's no way they're going to release a DE game to go up against Cyberpunk, so you may be right...

It'll be a mobile game

Deus Ex Go was genuinely very good.

I’m kind of surprised they haven’t released or announced a remake of the original Deus Ex - it’d sell like augmented ambrosia hot cakes.

On the other hand, if Cyberpunk 2077 is massive, then releasing a new Deus Ex game the year after would probably be a good move.

I would not buy a Deus Ex remake made by Eidos Montreal. Eidos Montreal don't really understand Deus Ex, and it would be a hollow shell of a great game.

What a shame.

You're just not seeing the potential because your vision isn’t augmented like mine 8-)

Do they need to make it so that the first level is massive and has several potential different solutions that can be used as an example of how amazing the game is despite the following levels having knowwhere near the level of depth and make the combat legit bad.

Jokes, I love Deus Ex but the Human Revaluation is a pretty good attempt at a sequel.

Wasn't that 50 minutes long, not sure I want to see that much before buying.

5-10 minutes would be ideal though, and I desperately want to see the streets at night in the rain.

Actually you're right...there have been rumours they'd be showing gameplay at Gamescom. Not necessarily the whole thing (although, I wouldn't mind that at all). Of the two, I think a highlight reel is probably more likely.

To be fair, even a 50 minute video is going great to be like one millionth of the final game

GIVE ME THE PREVIEW!!!

Uuuurgh. I'm super hyped for this game but CDR are doing their very best to stop that.

Gaming Twitter is alight this morning due to a tweet sent out by the official Cyberpunk 2077 account. It's since been deleted, but they replied to a mention with a commonly used transphobic joke.

This is a company creating a game based on a genre that has, at its centre, the idea of transhumanism, or at least the interface of technology and the human body and how changing the latter with the former can lead to new forms of humanity. For them to be making cheap lazy jokes at the expense of the trans community is a terrible sign for how the game itself will deal with these issues.

There have been some interesting responses:

They could bury this bad news by releasing a gameplay video.
