Danganronpa 3 Announcement trailer:

HYPE.

If you've got a Vita and you haven't played the first game, there's no excuse now. Like Alpha said in the Currently Playing thread, it's essentially a darker version of Phoenix Wright.

15 students get locked in a school and told to kill each other to escape by a demented little teddy bear. Hilarity ensues.

Typical, the day after I blow £20 on sale stuff, there's a pile more games I want on sale. And I'm just downloading five free PS+ Vita games. The woes of a Vita owner. :P

One of best games I've played this year, looking forward to sequel :D Hopefully the prequel and third will make over here as well.

Did they accidentally release DanganRonpa 2 on PSN today? Didn't think it was out til Friday, but it's downloading.

Got the digital version because Disgaea 4 might as well be soldered to the cart slot

I'd be tempted to do it digital but nah, I'll hold out for physical.

strawberry float me, the cases are actually longer, and harder. First one it wasn't too tough but I'm actually struggling on this one  That's first case by the way...

edit: Ugggh I'm stuck. I'm too tired to remember what the weapon would be used for second (Improved) Hangman's Gambit... I honestly have no idea, my clues aren't helpful either >.<

The new Hangman's Gambit is horrible when you don't already know what you need to be guessing. Just a letter or two would've made it *so* much easier.

Gundham is good to befriend first as his perk makes it easier to sort the white noise during the cases.

They are, probably my least favourite 'minigame' of lot. I didn't mind Hangman's Gambit in first; but in this it's annoying. Completed first case at 6:30AM  I've been making friends with that mediclady so far.

The sequel is brilliant, they've improved the overall game play quite a bit too. Story is great and I really hope no one gets any part of it spoilt, I'd strongly advise against looking up anything Danganronpa related online.

I highly advise no one plays the sequel before the original, that's just madness.

Played the first five minutes of DR2, first impressions:
The larger chap has the same voice as the Ultimate Affluent from the first game. Same hair and glasses too, so there's bound to be a link there.
The big dude with chains around is neck is more or less the biker gang kid. In fact, a lot of the characters seem very similar.

Going to get stuck in this afternoon, looking forward to it.

Finalfx, those were my first impressions, a lot of stuff and characters felt recycled

If you are a fan of this, you may also like Hatoful Boyfriend. A visual novel/pigeon dating sim (on Steam).

I so want to talk about Chapter 1 in general but I'll wait till good amount of people has beaten that chapter. All I can say it is much better than first in terms of case/trial if rest of game is anything like the first chapter. I think I preferred first game's characters/plot, but it is early days for sequel - and it's looking to be really good as well.

It is 'true' sequel in way - it feels polished, the difficulty is higher (in good way - it eases you at first but it treats you as if you've played last game, and expands on that) and much longer trials.

New Hangman's Gambit disagrees.

But yeah, it'd be insane to play the second game before the original. There's a whole load of story-related stuff that'd go straight over your head (the last chapter especially - "I bet *someone* is feeling nostalgic right now!").

Beaten Chapter 2 this morning (6:30am exactly) before going to sleep   That wasn't too tough compared to first chapter, but very good regardless.

Hangman's Gambit on the last chapter was ridiculous. I really like the travelling now though, a lot less slow and tedious third person stuff, especially if you use the dpad.

It's not even worth playing DR1 if you play the sequel first.

I dunno, I plan to go back to Danganronpa to try get all trophies on it. Since the next game probably won't be available here for long time.
