I played a lot of Burnout 2, but exclusively the Crash Mode. I *loved* it and so this is kinda like a dream for me :toot: .

But... the game has only been in development for around four months by a very small team. I really hope that it has a level of presentation and polish to match the original. Crash Mode was super-quick to get into and re-start, but it piled on the addictiveness with the cost-chasing aspect. I'm cautiously optimistic about the new game but I wont be pre-ordering it; I'll wait until a few reviews arrive. I remember that a 2D version of Crash Mode was released a while ago and that was met with a pretty mediocre reception.

Sounds good, I hope it's successful for them. Dangerous Golf is a pretty fun game once it gets going.

It says in the Eurogamer story that there are 20 crash junctions. I hope that doesn't mean that there's only 20 levels.
Crash mode in Burnouts 3 and Revenge were excellent when playing with mates, and a great diversion to all of the crazy racing. Lots of strategy involved.
I'll be getting this on day one to support the developers, in the hope that they make enough snoops to make a proper Burnout successor. Come on, it's only 10 wraps.

I imagine there are 20 basic junction layouts that they can populate with different traffic/objects and you come at them from different angles, stuff like that. I never really got into crash mode in burnout as much as the racing (i found dangerous golf really boring), but good on them for bringing it back, hopefully it'll pave the way for bigger things.

Generally my focus has been on hissy fits, wasps and imagining LewisD as a hot trucker. The usual stuff, dude.

:o . I found the Crash Mode to be hugely addicitive... I remember battling a pal to try and improve our damage scores; we played it for hours!

It's how they approached levels in Dangerous Golf so yes, I imagine it will be like this.

Will definitely get this on launch. (Y'know, long as it reviews relatively well.)

I really should to get back to Dangerous Golf at some point...

It's out today! :o . In the PS Store, it costs £8.99 for PS Plus subscribers.

I loved Crash Zone in Burnout 2 and so I'm really tempted. But... I think I'll wait until I hear some initial impressions.

Some Unreal engine games have been a bit dodgy on ps4, so waiting is probably a good idea in any case.
