I've really enjoyed the show. Light heart entertainment based around gaming. Does exactly what I expected, actually better as all other gaming stuff on normal tv is crap. Some of you though really need to stop being miserable old buggers

For somebody that dislikes the show, Preezy sure likes posting about it. ;)

I am with degoose, the show is exactly what I expected it to be and is entertaining enough. The spinning stage thing is annoying as strawberry float though.

Well the first episode had Chuckie Egg on it so I think it was filmed back in 1983.

Dara O Briain's Go 8 Bit will return with a second and third series.

The UKTV Original gaming panel show debuted on Dave earlier this year, and obviously did well enough for it to get renewed, this time with 10 episodes per series. Dave said it was one of the channel's five biggest shows of 2016.

Host Dara O Briain returns alongside team captains Steve McNeil and Sam Pamphilon. Ex-Eurogamer lovely Ellie Gibson, who penned a behind the scenes article for us earlier this year, is also back.

For the uninitiated, Go 8 Bit features celebrity guests who compete on a variety of games. Every episode ends with a physical challenge. It started life as an Edinburgh show created by Steve McNeil and Sam Pamphilon but hit our tellys this year.

Dara O Briain said: "What bittersweet news. The more time I spend making this fun exciting show about video games, the less time I have to play fun, exciting video games, and I'm already pretty bad at video games. In fact, the more I make this show the less qualified I am to be a guest on it. Now there's an irony."

I think they're slightly biased in their view of her...she is pretty much pointless though; not funny and doesn't really do anything of note on the show.

Can't say I'll be watching the new series. It's more one of those things that you tune in to out of curiosity, then realise how poor it is; annoying guests, bad jokes of the 'hur-dur gamers have no friends' kind, and it's just not that enjoyable to watch.

It's far from poor, it's well written and funny. Funny people having a laugh with lots of geeky reference stuff that I enjoy.

Every woman loves a java based physics engine.

Genius.

Glad this has been given more episodes it was a good light hearted show based around gaming and it had a lot of funny moments and good guests . Better than half the shite we had in the 90's supposedly for the hardcore. Oh God some of that was terrible.

To be fair it was.

It's not super serious as I swear some people here want everything to be but it was light hearted and entertaining like entertainment should be.

It's like the grand tour thread, they make jokes and have a laugh they get gooseberry fool for being scripted and not sensible enough, if they were serious people would bitch they aren't being entertaining enough. I swear people just watch stuff to then go bitch about it.
