Struggling with this.

I've ran out of life stones or whatever they're called. And the only merchant I've found has ran out of stock? :x

Any ideas? Do they restock ever?

Yes it does. As for the lifegems, they do get restocked at certain points in the story.

Speak with the old lady merchant in the land of the giants, spend 1000 souls with her (blacksmith's key is a good buy) then keep talking until she talks of moving. Go to Majula and she'll now sell infinite lifegems at 300 souls a pop.

I've played this through a few times before but not since the all the DLC and whatnot was added. When exactly in the game do I get access to the DLC and any other new content?

Just started this, a bit of a shock after playing so much bloodborne really. Great to be back in the world of souls but strawberry float me the combat is janky. Pumping up my endurance and the other one to get some speed and dodging in there.

I also played for two hours before remembering that there are shields, thanks bloodborne!

What the hell is this punisher fight gooseberry fool? Get into a tiny enclosed area and even though I dodge his attacks they still take my health off. The Estus animation is excruciatingly slow compared to bloodbornes blood vial, I swear I'm worse off every time I use it in a boss fight!

Beaten the dragon rider & last giant so far. Found a pirate ship level, forest of the Giants and a few others.

strawberry float I'm finding this harder than demons, dark and bloodborne so far. Was the difficulty ramped up for the remaster or something? Even early on every enemy is a strawberry floating huge guy in armour!

Just beat the pirate wharf thingy, sailed a gooseberry fool to a Bastille and saved it there. Game is stating to open up a bit now.

The remaster IS a bit harder than the original at times, the reordering of enemy placements means some areas can be a bit tricky at first, because mobs.

Conversely there are a ton of NPC summons available in the remaster making most boss fights ridiculously easy if you decide to use them (you'll want to use a few if you're after the platinum).

I've been grinding the bell tower and attempting to get summoned so I can get the last couple of trophies. I'm in NG+ at about 5 mil SM and it's taking an age to get summoned, I've had the best luck with Smelter Demon at the Iron Keep. Up to 22 Sunbro medals I think.

Got to what I believe to be the end of the Bastille, a long bridge with a fog gate at the end which took me to another named area which I haven't explored yet. Earlier in the level that banana split pursuer just showed up in several places and killed me, although I've now realised if I hide from him he goes away again. Still, strawberry float off.

Was exploring the Bastille again after I got what I think was a key up high on a sniper spot near the start of the level after you've looped through, then I got invaded WHILE HOLLOW :dread: Since when is that a thing? I've got to worry about that now too? :fp:

Don't fear the Pursuer, just fight the banana split he's not that hard!

The original game had mobs everywhere. I'm reluctant to pick this version up, I didn't really like this game as much as the first one. I'm willingly to give it another shot if its cheap enough in the future.

There's no hiding from enemies in this version, don't know if the original DS2 had it but if you try and run past a bunch of enemies they never give up following you, so you can end up kiting a huge bunch of enemies around and have to deal with them. I tried to run past several huge knight things near the start of the game and they followed me all the way meaning I had to deal with about 5 at once, which meant insta death. So if you have a really tough but that you die at the end of, you've no choice but to battle everything again on the way rather than dash past a few here and there.

In the original version, if you killed enemies enough times in an area, they don't come back. I used that to my advantage several times.

That is still the case here but I think if you join the covenant of champions it turns that feature off. Not sure if that happened in the original version.

Just killed the boss at the end of the sinners rise section. Summoned a NPC and a shade phantom (whatever that is). Nothing quite like having a boss fight in complete darkness, while its sunny outside with glare on your TV :dread: Got him first try but it was damn close. Primeval bonfire eh?!

Actually, that was a good boss fight at Lost Bastille. I don't know how I managed to beat those strawberry floaters. I think I did it solo somehow.

Edit - Oh strawberry float I just caught the end of that :dread:
