Things seem to change once i ring the second bell and it appears i should have killed someone! This game really is quite addictive and i reckon i can finally see the ending, but want to complete all of the side quests too as theres a lot of them.

If you've got a fire keeper's soul on you then you can upgrade the flask at the Daughter of Chaos after beating Quelaag.

I didn’t know what to do so i used it up when i got one early on!

Up to Bed of Chaos now :dread. I've basically done the Solaire and Siegmeyer quests now too (I still hate how stupidly precise these are) and once this is done it's DLC time then the final boss.

Not looking forward to fighting that dickhead again. I think I've only ever bothered beating him the first time I did the DLC on the PS3.

I managed to beat the moonlight butterfly this morning on my own. Previously, I tried to give Sen's Fortress a go, but got killed immediately by those two lizard things. I think I may go back to the depths and farm some humanity and level up a bit before trying the forstress again. I've spotted a few areas like Anor Londo and that lava place after Blighttown, so may give them a go. It also comes to mind that I need to get back to the undead asylum and get a few special items (according to the walthrough on IGN).

Started as a Knight and I've gone for pure strength using a +5 Black Knight Greatsword with the Grass Crest Shield, Mask of the Son and the Cloranthy Ring for faster stamina regen and the rest is Black Knight chest, legs and arms. Smashed through most bosses with that build (Orstnein & Smough went down really quick with the two-handed BKG attack) and the only one I really had trouble with was Kalameet.

Played through the whole of the DLC yesterday afternoon, it's a lot shorter than I remembered.

Bloody hell, you're hard core. I think I have the Black Knight sword, but can't hold it yet as my stats are too low.

How have you spotted Anor Londo if you haven't got through Sen's Fortress?

From the back entrance of blighttown yes, i think thats anor londo? I cleared undead asylum apart from the stray demon. I was hoping to have some online help, but couldn’t see any summon signs. I spent quite a while farming humanity in the depths, which i felt was a necessity going forward.

Currently i have the drake sword at +2, but thats not strong enough for the lizards at the beginning of sens fortress.

Yeah, I played this build on my last playthrough. It was pretty good. Twinkling Titanite can be hard to come by early game, but I had an upgraded Black Knight Sword for Ornstein/Smough and it was an easier fight than I envisaged.

That fight with Artorias in the DLC is awesome gooseberry fool.
