That's never stopped you with any of the Zelda games...

Day one on both systems with the amiibo then :slol:

Don't get caught up in the launch hype Jawa. Save yourself some dough.

I'm becoming good at that approach this year. I find that, as long as you avoid the hype of the first week, it's then pretty easy to bypass games.

Not certain about this one yet, though :shifty: .

I like to think that my Bloodborne playthrough has inspired you to try out Souls III, Ad...

Quite possibly. They're so bloody good these games. Even dark souls 2 in places.

I think DS3 is probably the best one, that is probably sacrilegious to admit. But it's a lot more consistent than DS1, and even though I love how interconnected the first one is, it kind of goes a bit mediocre near the end.

Loved DS3, never played the original so looking forward to seeing the roots of various characters and locations. SOTFS seemed to go for quantity rather than quality but maybe I should try to finish it.

I wasn't that much of a fan of 3 on my first playthrough, I came to appreciate it eventually but aesthetically it's pretty dull and the bosses are largely uninspired. First game is the best by a long way.

1 > 2 = 3

Only thing i don't like about 3 so far is the world is still using warps to get to areas rather than being I connected like in DS.

This is why I was annoyed in DS when you basically warp to Lordran. Surely they could have thought of a better way to get you there. Not sure if it makes sense from a lore perspective, maybe it had to be isolated as that's where Gwyn's lot or whatever lived.

Same with Bloodborne, how the Nightmare of Mensos was completely detached. Haven't played DS2 and DS3 yet, but I've probably already hit the high points in terms of intricate, interconnected worlds.

I'm playing Nioh and I can understand why it has to be levels (it's set across the whole of Japan, with takes on real-life places) but there's never a real sense of going where you aren't supposed to, or being completely lost and in over your head.

I remember in the original Dark Souls half-knowing that the Catacombs wasn't the way I should be heading, but it was fun going that way and seeing how far I could get down the "optional" path.

strawberry float.

EDIT: I'd been wanting to get this in May so I could take it on Holiday with me at the end of June. I expect it won't be out before that now. :(

Yeah I'm not gonna be short of things to play. Hyrule Warriors will keep my Switch ticking over nicely for a while.

Some folk on the Era thread speculating that it's perhaps down to production issues with either the carts or the Amiibo. Can't think of any other reason why they'd announce an unspecified delay just over a month away from release.

Might cancel my pre-order then. What should I buy on Switch instead?
