It's going to be VERY hard not to sigh loudly or grimace at all fighting bosses (or more often, falling off gooseberry fool) in public with this game.

And I too wonder what my experience will be like without the BKS as an early drop (I got it from the 1st Black Night in the Undead Burg). I dropped the game right at the gate of Annor Londo, just because my PC isn't really set up at the moment... no good reason.

one thing that definitely interested me from the kotaku article was the mention of 6 players concurrent in world and that its a remake not a remastering.
this raises the prospect of aspects of the covenant system (e.g. gravelord) not being borked this time. fingers crossed!

Thank god they're actually re-making it and not just running it at a higher resolution that the PC version could have done originally if it wasn't a gooseberry fool port.

They've announced a special edition trilogy for the PS4.

2 was already redone for X1 PS4, not Remastered but framerate is 60fps

I really want to play this in 60fps but Switch

They're planning to put the lot on Switch so maybe I'll finally play III on there instead.

Some people over on resetera think the switch one is the regular dark souls and it's the ps4 pc ones that have the new engine etc. Would be gooseberry fool if true.

I really don't like remasters or rereleases or whatever you're calling it but I will be getting this day 1. The best game ever made on PS4 yes I must have it.

No indication of that from FROM at the moment as far as I can see.

They'll be targetting 30fps 720p on Switch for sure - that's the reality of it being a port to a handheld - but I'd be pretty surprised if they stuck to the old engine for it.
