I'd imagine the install on 360 will eliminate that problem. That strawberry floating Unreal Engine :fp:

Hope so.

Still pretty good so far, really nailed the flying controls/movement and combat is decent enough.

Maybe I'm missing something; but the demo is already running from the hard drive, so how will an install of the retail game differ?

Apparently the next Iron Man game...'will not suck'.

Finally got round to playing the terrible Dante's Inferno demo last night, not expecting any more from this. Wish someone would put a good demo up on Live at some point.

Dante's Inferno demo was good.

This demo is bad.

Didn't enjoy that at all.

The early part of this year is getting cheaper by the day. I think i'm game free until late feb now.

Played the demo earlier, so here are my thoughts:

This is another outsourced game from Capcom (which is obvious to those who've been following the game), just like the fantastic (IMO) Bionic Commando was. That said, don't think I'll end up loving this title like I did with GRIN's, but this is only a demo after all.

The demo showcased what was possibly the first level in the game, as it seemed more of a tutorial in how to use the Jet Pack and such. Controls weren't too bad, though I did have a hard time flying and aiming for airborne enemies and shooting them. It's a bit sensitive, so you'll be shooting and flying all over the place. Easy enough to fly though, and you are able to hover in the air and pull out one of your weapons if you're wanting to shoot at ground enemies instead.

On the ground, it was your typical Third-Person shooter mechanics. There's a cover system, and you can pop in and out of cover using a single button. You pull your aiming trigger to pop up and aim at the enemies and throw grenades and such. There’s also a melee button for getting up close to enemies. Nothing much to say about it really, it's pretty standard as far as combat goes.

What surprised me was that the game uses Unreal Engine 3 to power the graphics (that engine gets everywhere!), so it doesn’t exactly look spectacular or anything but solid enough. Art style is quite bland, and the base that you go inside looks fairly dull with little imagination used to create it, and the enemies you fight are just robots and bat-like creatures that crawl on the floor. I didn’t really like the music outside, but inside the music changed and was a bit heavier (which I actually liked).

Overall I wasn’t exactly impressed, but it seems solid enough. Didn’t really grab me, and the outside of the level wasn’t all that interesting to look at or fly around in. I’d imagine they’ll mix it up in the full game, but I wasn’t really all that taken in by it. Flying controls need to a little less sensitive when trying to aim at flying enemies (though I’m sure I can just change the sensitivity in the menu’s), and when you’re on ground it controls just like every other Third-Person action game. That said, possibly pick it up when it’s a bit cheaper.

I thought that was awful really, which is a shame as this was in my most looked forward to games list of 2009 before the delay. I can see why they delayed it. It still needs mre time.
Oh, and as much as I like Uncharted i'm really geting sick of hearing Nolan Norths voice in games.

It was a blatent God of War (1) rip off...except worse and with less taste (something that seemed impossible).

Anyway, getting back to this, still not played the demo, but has anyone seen anything about this...

...looks like it could be awesome, DSiWare game coming this month.

Downloaded the demo at work. I didn't like this at all :( Was one of the games that was to be a must buy. Will wait until it's Bionic Commando price. I hope this disappointment doesn't start a trend for the year to come.

What was up with the terrible framerate? I hope this was an early build and that the full game will be much better. Shall wait on reviews.

I agree with Ord on Nolan North he is in too many games. I like him as Drake but then every other character he plays suffers due to this.

It looks far too generic in invest any sort of interest in, for me :( Maybe when it's a tenner.

What are Capcom playing at? :fp:
