The new game of the week is Darksiders III, which debuts at No.32. The game has sold 84 per cent less than the last Darksiders II, and more than 70 per cent below the original title. Those games were released in 2010 and 2012, where the digital market was significantly smaller (again, download sales are not counted).
The game's second update was released to the PC version yesterday, 20th December. Now, when you load a save or start a new game, you'll pick from default or classic combat. The developers said classic mode should feel more like previous Darksiders games in that it lets Fury dodge interrupt her attacks and use items instantly. Default mode is, as you'd expect, the original combat mode for Darksiders 3.
So having spent the week with Darksiders 3 and being right near the end I can safely say this is a cracking strawberry floating game.
Don’t get me wrong it’s solid B tier all the way but it’s inventive and surprising at almost every turn.
It’s Light Souls rather than dark, there’s a forgiving nature to it that the “Dark” games don’t have but the combat is great and gets better the more you progress . It’s on game pass and was on ps plus a few months back. Give it a go.
