If there's one thing Relic does better than any other developer, it's utterly fantastic intro sequences.

Games Workshop did have a CGI movie based on the Blood Angels chapter of Space Marines on the go maybe eight or nine years ago, but that never surfaced.

Immediate purchase.

Might even upgrade for this (can probably already play it but struggled with CoH at high settings).

I think the Tyranids came BEFORE the Zerg...

That was...kind of my point. Almost every race in WC and SC is lifted from Warhammer.

You didn't say that though. You said the Tyranids ripped off the zerg. Which is the exact opposite of what you mean.

Do I get a gold medal for pointing out your mistake?

First, pics/descriptions/names please.
Second, they're blatantly expansion pack material. :P

:fp: :fp: :fp:

He was being sarcastic!!

Fail.

I want to find out about how the Tyranids operate. As a hive mind type thing I wonder how they will work in teams etc.

Its about time! Hopefully they will give them different play mechanics to keep them fresh. I always envisioned them getting more requisition points from the more of the enemy they killed, not from capturing static points which isnt very 'nid'. And have they conformed the Tau yet? I dont recall them being available in the original game.

Now they've *finally* nailed 40K and appear to have done a good job with Blood Bowl, Howabout a Necromunda MMO along the lines of CoD4 with the squad experience and weapon unlocking format? A single player action-based 3rd person format would flesh it out quite considerably.

I'd imagine that the Nids will build spore chimneys at tactical points to get more biomatter to make stuff with. They're standard props on the tabletop.

Not sure if 40k can work in third person. There are simply too many enemies. It would turn into hack and slash easily.

Maybe an FPS like that Tau Firefighter game would work better but I don't remember that being that great.

The Tau will probably be an add-on pack.

Did you never get to play Necromunda? Its the only game I play these days. It involved 2 sides of 8-10 models representing rival gangs in the underhive of necromunda fighting for money, rare items or just survival. It could easily be turned into a decent squad shooter if done correctly.
Incidentally if you're curious GW re-released the rules for Necromunda (based on good 'ol 2nd edition 40K) as a free download as part of the specialist games range, meaning you can get the rulebook, add-ons and some user created stuff all for free! All you need is a few mates and some models. It offers a model-by-model management play model with experience and skills so you can really go to town on conversions.

You've lost me. I was never up to scratch on GW stuff I just liked the universe and making the models. But if there is a game using smaller squads then yeah that could work well for a new 3rd person game.

There is a landspeeder, which is also a transport unit for scouts.

New sternguard, vanguard vets ( super shooty/ super assulty vets).

Some kind of super siege dread w/ armour 13, and ooge gunz.

Techmaine with some kind of conversion beamer cannon.

New landraider variant.

Some of the new stuff there;

Mordheim > Necromunda ;)

BTW i would LOOOOVE a turn based Gothic game * dreams*.

I'm hoping the bloodbowl game is just bloodbowl on PC, doesnt need at alterations to make it a good game.

We could really use some Marine Bikers in this game, considering the high profile role they've played in the tabletop game I'm hoping they'll appear here.

I would quite like to see chapter specific traits but maybe thats too much for game balance ( IE white scars/ ravenwing).
