Idris Elba for John Stewart is what should happen.

I like Idris but I am not sure he is funny enough to take over from Jon. Better than Samantha Bee I suppose.

Oh wait, wrong thread.

I liked Joe Manganiello in True Blood, he has got the perfect built superhero physique (no homo), and yeah he could have been a good Batman. Deathstroke is meant to be a mature, grey haired, battled wisened mercenary so I don't know why they are making him a younger guy - but I'm happy for Manganiello. Suicide Squad has some interesting casting that with the right script, could make it stand out.

Joe Manganiello, Brad from HIMYM/Flash Thompson?

Hmm.

Manganiello is 38, not that young by Hollywood standards.

Not necessarily true, plenty of action stars are hitting 50 and still turning up regularly playing much younger men. Keanu Reeves and Tom Cruise being particularly high profile examples, and even the Stath is 47. In fact, a fair chunk of what you'd consider the top young-ish talent in Hollywood are about Manganiello's age. Bradley Cooper is 40 this year, to give another example.

‘SUICIDE SQUAD’ RUMOR EXPLAINS BATMAN’S INVOLVEMENT

According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates. Get this, prior to the events in #BatmanvSuperman, THE JOKER is the only one to really ever meet him or know him and that’s why he’s so important to Amanda Waller. They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all “the supers.” Very cool stuff.

latino review so plenty of salt needed, but that would actually be pretty cool.

In execution will probs end up being gooseberry fool.

Not sure about Joker being the only person who has met him, that doesn't seem right. Maybe if Joker is the only person the government knows has seen/spoken to Batman that would make more sense.

Mr Eko is playing Killer Croc in Suicide Squad.

The “Lost” actor is switching sides from Marvel to DC and reuniting with his “Concussion” co-star Will Smith

After playing dual roles in “Thor: The Dark World,” Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is switching sides and moving from Marvel to DC, as he’s set to play Killer Croc in WB’s “Suicide Squad,” TheWrap has learned.

Representatives for Warner Bros. and Akinnuoye-Agbaje did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Killer Croc in a live-action film? I'm intrigued.

Proving that crime might in fact pay, Suicide Squad director David Ayer has give us the first look at the film’s ragtag band of supervillains, via a cast photo taken during the first script read-through, posted earlier today on Twitter. Pictured here, out of costume of course: Will Smith (who plays Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), among others.

Not seen here of course is Jared Leto, who has been cast as The Joker.

That's a pretty great cast. Didn't realise Morgan from The Mindy Project was in this apparently playing Hugo Strange. Really if anyone from that show deserves to be in a big movie it's Chris Messina.

I don't really know anything about Suicide Squad but Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn sounds like an absolute winner

I just found it odd. Almost as odd as this:

Realistically the only thing anyone involved in that horrendous ball of shite is to be lined up against a wall and shot. It is somehow worse than Ashton Kutcher-era Two & a Half Men.

WONDER WOMAN Director Exits for 'Creative Differences'

Didn't they spend months looking for the right director and now the idiots up top have driven her away. Oh dear. Someone post the AVB dread face.

Watch Marvel scoop her up for the Captain Marvel film now
