YES.

The fact she isn't already cast as her or among the list of those in consideration is ridiculous. Doesn't she voice her in the cartoons too?

She's been voicing Waller for about a decade. The DCAU Justice League show and the recent animated Suicide Squad direct to DVD movie.

This seems to be their biggest problem, the production costs are going to be astronomical. It's a problem the old school Hollywood studios all have, the film costs are so large that even when they approach 700mill from the box office they barely break even (see Sony with Spider-Man)

Warner Bros. seem to load all of their films with AAA actors. Marvel's approach seems to work out far better, where they'll sign big names for the supporting roles of their movies (obviously there are a few exceptions)

This all seems like a big gamble right now, because as it stands they've only released a single film in this plan of theirs and they're now finishing up one film and hiring for others before it's even out.

I'm surprised they are actually going for proper Amanda Waller and not casting someone like Halle Berry.

Black detective in The Shield is called CCH Pounder? Absolutely should play Waller.

Corazon de Leon

It should be CCH Pounder but Viola Davis isn't the worst choice they could've picked(That would be Oprah Winfrey).

Oprah Winfrey is actually a good actress. I wouldn't have been against her getting the part.

Anyone else seen the rumour that apparently Batman v Superman is now split into two parts, with part 1 "Enter the Knight" out this october and part 2 "Dawn of Justice" next March

Image

Supposedly filming for BvS was 10 months so lots of speculation they were filming Justice League back to back with it. Or getting enough material to split into two films.

I partly want it to be real because it just shows how much DC are scrambling around desperately reacting to everything Marvel does

It would have made sense being as there isn't much towards the end of this year superhero wise, but...

Of all of that cast who could quit it had to be him and not Jai Courtney.

REPORT: TOM HARDY LEFT DC'S "SUICIDE SQUAD" MOVIE OVER SCRIPT & SCREENTIME

Latino Review has a story up today claiming that the reason actor Tom Hardy walked from the incoming David Ayer-directed movie was because he had not seen a finished script when he originally agreed to play Rick Flag. Once the full cast was assembled – including new Joker/Oscar-winner Jared Leto and superstar Will Smith as Deadshot – the script was tweaked to play to those bigger parts and Hardy apparently wasn't interested in their version of the story where Flag served as a supporting player.

:dread: :dread: changing the script to suit the biggest ego's always works wonders

That's more of a Will Smith problem than a Warner Bros problem. Isn't he supposed to have scripts rewritten all the time for him?

I still don't understand the decision to keep the dc tv universe separate from the movie universe. Can't see any benefits in this for them or us.
