Something about DOA stun that doesn't sit right with me. Characters stay in stun for ages after a hard hit, I guess DOA is pretty close to Virtua Fighter in that regard, I've always preferred how Tekken and SC handled stun.

Always like the DoA franchise mainly cause it's one of the the only fighting games I'm actually good at.
Will certainly pick this up when it launches though I should imagine it'll be like DoA 5 and have hundreds of pounds worth of costume dlc for the characters.

Been reading lots of good things about this in the build up (well apart from Eurogamer and Polygon because they're scared of boobs, particularly Wesley Yin-Poole at EG who had a little cry when he discovered that contrary to what was said previously boobs are still very much part of DOA 6. ). I like what I see for the DLC, particularly the KOF characters, and there is LOTS of extras to unlock through gameplay. Preordered and waiting patiently to arrive.

Currently sitting on 80% after 14 reviews

However, as expected Wesley Yin-Poole at Eurogamer went full woke with his "review". He even managed to squeeze Trump in there. What a massive prick.

Rather hypocritically EG have spent the last several weeks celebrating MK11's ability to rip out the eyeballs of scantily clad female fighters in a shower of bloody gore. Cretins :fp:

Fighting games don't review well at all these days and I can see why.

Since the introduction of side steeping in Virtua Fighter 3, Tekken 3 and DOA 2 in the late 90s the genre hasn't evolved apart from adding more cutscenes.

Haven't bought a fighting games myself since Virtua Fighter 5 a decade ago.

80% seems pretty good to me.

Eurogamer's review is just trash, click bait nonsense. (Like a lot of EG's reviews these days). Bare in mind this is the same reviewer who not only has been spanking his monkey over the brutalised, sexualised female characters in MK11, but failed to mention the sexualised characters in his SC VI review. If you're gonna go full woke then at least be consistent.

£37.99 from Argos, which is pretty cheap tbh.

Yeah the price dropped to £37.99 from £49.99 on Amazon for my preorder, which was nice.

To be fair, all the characters are over sexualised, half the male characters are topless with sixpacks dripping in baby oil.

It's even more amazing when you realise that the $92.99 price is just for "season pass 1" and runs from March to June. I wonder how many such "passes" Koei Tecmo will release at that price? :slol: .

Got it at the weekend from Argos as it was only £37.99, whilst it was £50 in Game.

Overall opinion after playing for much of the weekend, it's a fine addition to the DoA series. There's a good amount of single player stuff, even if the story mode is a load of bobbins, the mission mode (can't remember it's name) is my favorite mode so far. Roster is a decent size, but I'm a bit peeved to see Phase 4 and another character locked out as probably dlc. The new super bar is fine new mechanic and the fighting still feels great as usual, it's probably a bit of safe sequel but I'm enjoying it.
