You winning shouldn't come at the expense of no fun for everyone else. I was going to raise this at the post game discussion when I saw that Nun had suggested they all pick the exact same role as that increases their chance of winning.

I said to Aayl on his stream after I got murdered at the start that I was kind of glad to be out already. I could see the way the dynamic was already forming and it wasn't going to make for a fun game for me.

Reading through I can see that I was probably right about that.

I am enjoying reading through it though.

Qikz needs to experiment with shutting up for a bit - he just has to be the centre of attention. It's essentially the Qikz show now, and it's tedious as hell.

It's a shame because I can see DML has tried really hard to combat the usual "Super secret Seer Protection But You can't Join Club" and include the majority of Villagers in the game mechanics.

If anyone can give me a scenario where all having the same power was going to help the village, please tell me because I cannot think of it. Thats the odd thing, it wasn't even a good plan.

Well I did my best to stop it being the Qikz show, but Mr Justice had to shoot me down. I did have to stop myself from calling him Qishi Sunak at one point tonight though. I already did enough damage with Albert.

Genuinely interested in the death thread's thoughts on Qikz, he sits in a blind spot for me because our play styles/approaches differ so much.

Great game DML, and I did PM Pancake and Qikz to say you'd end up shooting us three as we were the ones dumb enough to stay up, but PMed it because you'd be sneaky and do it because I suggested it, and you got me anyway.

Feel for you DML, in my view pretty much everything you've put in place as a game runner has pushed for a more open and interesting game but it relies on the players engaging with it positively and in some key places that hasn't been the case which is a real shame.

Also, Qikz if/when you eventually read this I love you man but pivoting from your "secret master plan seer group who do whatever they want" to "but doesn't everyone want to play a game of deduction?" after your sub group all spent days ignoring anyone attempting to do deductions and just repeatedly pushed to kill villagers is a real hard pill to swallow.

The Seer plan relied on the phrasing not being a Seer and no letter started with S, and you had stated in the initial post that people's roles would stay the same but the powers would be single use things (implying they didn't impact on your role) so it looked like it could work. Then a bit of false outcomes being shared and the purples providing cover would have been a strong route for the villagers to go down.

But I mainly ran on the premise because I knew I didn't have the gravitas to pull the vote, and as I had been one of its main proponents, I was hoping it would pull an alternative to the fore. Which it sort of did, I was just hoping for Ob Bob to lead because I was most confident he was a villager and could be trusted.

This is exactly what I said at the start of the game - DML AYA? games have always striven for - and generally rewarded - playing an open, risk-taking strategy. We've been doing them for nearly twenty years at this point, he experiments and has a bit of fun with the concept usually. The second I mentioned that in the thread, someone asked me for proof that this was the case and rubbished the idea. But, I mean, we should have been pushing for the hilarious nonsense from the start. It would've benefited the village to harness the chaos, not the wolves.

I think he's just trying to deal with having a two week old while playing the game, to be honest.
