Need to man up first though. I don't like scary games :(

It really aint that bad. After the first few jump shocks you begin to read them a mile off and promptly despatch of any nasties before they've even had a chance to introduce themselves.

Dead Space really deserves a sequel, but only if they can come up with enough new ideas to keep things fresh, as Dead Space 1.5 just won't cut it. Considering how much the original innovated, I have a great deal of faith in EA - something I never thought I'd hear myself saying...

Why o why does no one take heed of Alien Vs Predator 1? Randomise ammo dumps, randomise enemy encounters. The only people to take that to the next level is Valve with the AI director. strawberry float sake, make great levels to explore and then have an AI director strawberry float with your mind as well as putting in scripted moments.

If you say 'I have a great deal of faith in Visceral Games' it doesn't sound as bad.

*edit* WTF, Isaac looks like some sort of cyber ninja in that. :fp:

He was an engineer, though. So it was his job to fix things. At least it gave some meaning to what you were doing.

But yeah, I hope there's a bit more variation to why you've gotta go around blasting stuff off aliens.

I'm quite excited about this, actually. The first was amazing.

I still can't finish it on the hardest difficulty, though :( Got to the third level then just... failed.

Actually, didn't that have a survival mode as well?

F*ckin' amazing.

See, THIS is a reskin of Left 4 Dead I would have approved of.

Yes it did have survival mode  I've been banging on about AVP and all that it did years and years ago for strawberry floating ages on this forum. Barely anyone here has even played AVP or even expressed any interest in it.

AVP had amazing single player, it had awesome multiplayer and it had co-op survival which scared the gooseberry fool out of me.

It means take Left 4 Dead, change all the skins to everything from Alien Vs Predator universe (game not the movie) and walah. You have a great AVP mod, unless you decide to polish the strawberry float out of it to make it the best AVP game ever.

Eurogamer has even more info on this, here:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/huge- ... al-spilled

This bit caught my eye:
The all-important horror element will return with bells on. Enemies will be less predictable and pacing will be more considered; at times you will feel like the hunter and at times you'll fight wildly like cornered prey. Visceral wants to lower the amount of monsters bursting out on you and instil an eerie, thought-provoking scare.

Also: Isaac speaks! Be interesting to hear who they've got to play him.
