:slol:

Prince AV was never a contemporary suspect. Not even years after whe he was involved in the Cleveland Street scandal. Abberline investigated both btw. The Royal family connection only surfaced in the 1970's with a TV series and some spurious comments from one of Sickert's descendants. It then gained greater prominence with the Stephen Knight's book The final solution. This expanded the theory to include the masons, a royal cover up, illegitimate child and William Gull in a coach. All nonsense
This theory was then use by Moore in From Hell. It's a great story but nonsense.

Is it that unbelievable that it could've been a prince or whatever? Back then it wouldn't have been that hard to cover something up considering how localised it was and how much power the monarchy had.

Shifting the blame onto unlikely suspects- this is classic Jack the Ripper posting. I'll run on a platform of Staydead and Aaron Kosminski for the lynch.

YOU IDIOT I'M NOT JACK THE RIPPER I'M SHERLOCK HOLMES

I'M GOING TO GIVE MY FINDINGS TO SOMEONE ON THIS LIST

Watson
Jack The Ripper
Count Dracula
Frankenstein
Bob
Kevin
Thomas

Even Alan Moore says the theory is nonsense in the reference at the back of From Hell. Incidentally it's my favourite Moore book.

I can't help but think this whole new DNA evidence is a bit misleading surly the figure would be covered in DNA from a ton of people due to the victims profession and how can they rule out some form of cross contamination from another source.
