I've never been in a CeX, something about the place just puts me off.

It probably is the fleas now I come to think of it.

I don't believe for one second that flees can survive that long in CEX

GG is somewhat more coherent though.

Every CeX i've entered has been a dive, and the products on the shelf are usually in a pretty dreadful state (maybe i've just been unlucky, who knows).

Game may not do the best deals, but at least they actually provide me with purchases which don't look as if they've just been fished out of someone's leaky garage.

I think the disk/ cartridge would be alright, although they've started making there own boxes for lose stuff.

CEX shops are pretty grim and their displays with consoles, phones etc are filthy, but they're useful for getting quick cash in return for games/movies you no longer want.

My local one is the same, I've seen them trying to flog stuff if basically smashed game boxed with no labels and art for silly prices.

Brighton one is ok, people are smelly and annoying but no different anywhere else really. Got some games in very good condition there at fair prices, always let me check the disks and even swap inlays. I don't go in expecting much, just some old games nobody wants for a few quid, occasionally a few Wii U games everyone is shelving to get a Switch.

CeX is a franchise not a chain and so it depends who is running it.

That only impacts personal hygiene, not prices.

I hope John Lewis stays in the game - one button on the remote control for our TV purchased in December 2017 has stopped working and with a two-minute call to John Lewis, they're sending a replacement.

Five thumbs up for customer service.

That's because the town outside is even dirtier than most CeX stores, i swear, Brighton always looks as if it's in desperate need of a bloody good scrub (especially when compared with some of the other cities i visit)!

Brighton is absolutely strawberry floating miserable any time other than the summer, I do find it kind of embarrassing. Everything is dilapidated.

The south-east coast in general is pretty dirty compared to other areas like Surrey. Newhaven is probably the greyest place I've ever been too though.

I haven't travelled the UK much though, so I'm used to towns/cities. At least at home I'm surrounded by national park, but the streets still aren't perfect.

Don't really care all that much about that though.

It's probably largely due to traffic congestion, gooseberry fool settles everywhere.

Brighton's still better than Bognor Regis mind, dear god that place was a dive.

That said though, i've still seen worse, the worst place i've ever been was Axminster in Devon, spent five-six years commuting there on and off, i was miserable, it's a cesspit.

Brighton is always grim, it's a strawberry floating ugly city.

Good pubs but otherwise bleugh, I honestly don't understand why anyone would want to see it from the sky in the i360

I've never understood the appeal of it either given that the only things of interest in the area are a short walk away.

As you say, the only good thing about Brighton is the pubs, other than that, it's a gooseberry fool hole.

It was hilarious one day I went into the city and the fog was so thick you couldn't even see the thing, and it was still running  I'm sure they were happy

WH Smith has stopped selling Debenhams gift cards. Regardless of reason, this is bad publicity.

Yes?

Debenhams' CEO has recently been playing down their inevitable demise. I think the chain is proper fooked.

Watching the news last night seems several House of Frasers are also to close, including Swindon and possibly Cheltenham.
