I maintain my position in the PS+ thread: older than five years is retro. Certainly, comparing stuff like Crackdown 1 to stuff like Sleeping Dogs and the difference is similar to a generational leap. Hell, Perfect Dark Zero looks like it could have been a PS2 game, never mind a current gen game.

Thats really a consequence of this generation having dragged on so long.

You can see a similar effect coming from late 2600 games to early NES titles and the 2600 had a similarly elongated lifespan

For me, retro is anything from the 16bit era or earlier.
