Nothing like a strawpedo competition with some WKD Blues though.

It's crazy how expensive "going out" has become now.

Most people are probably the same but I'd feel a bit silly going to Weatherspoons to buy 5 Reefs for £5 now.

Nah, this was all proper pints for the most part. Plenty of places in Cardiff in the early 00's you could buy a decent pint for about £2, even less if you were knew which places had special discounts on certain days!

I have to admit I did knock back my fair share of WKD in the day as well though. :dread: :fp:

It probably wasn't much different here. I'm pretty sure the normal price was about £2.30 a pint so I'd imagine student prices being even cheaper.

*Edit* if you have something like an old fashioned, gin and tonic wth decent spirits it's probably going to set you back anywhere from £12-£16 depending on the place.

I think that because Ad7 lives in a small Welsh rugby town. He hasn’t got the bollocks to go up to the bar with his English accent to request “Oh I say my dear landlord, please may I experience your finest gin and tonic, with a glass of something light and fruity for my lady friend?”

Maybe he is drinking 10-15 pints to prove that he is a real man then.

In two hours? A real man would be doing at least 20 in that time.

I am the bar.

Last time I was in Bournemouth we went to a chavverspoons and they had a really cheap, but really nice ale on tap. I think it was £1.90 A pint, felt so strange getting change from a fiver.

I don't think people are only drinking pints, but only drinking expensive cocktails all night is much crazier if you ask me!

This thread is making me feel better about how much I drink anyway

That's why we only do it a couple of times a year. Personally I'd rather have a few massive nights out a year than go to the pub every night out Friday/Saturday/Sunday for 2-3 pints.

Because you're all the realist of men.

I used to find it bizarre in Australia that they saw Sunday night as the biggest night out of the week, because it's the last night before going back to work.

Wat. Yeah, back to work tomorrow, better make sure I've got a devastating hangover.

I don't even like going out on Saturday compared to Friday because I don't like being hungover Sunday then going straight back to work the day after.

Personally I prefer somewhere in the middle! I maybe average going out once a month and it can be anywhere from £20 to £60, and it's certainly more that 2-3 pints at the pub. The only time I've spent over £100 is when you factor in food and accommodation when going away somewhere.

Get lightly mashed till 8pm on Sunday to quell the impending dread but stop early enough to avoid being rough.

It was reef strawpedos in my day. I remember we'd done 6 each in a row before a taxi came to pick us up. He pulled up and said we'd better not be sick in his taxi but little did he know I'd just been sick on the flower bed. EPIC BANTS WOT A LEDGE I WAS
