Jesus christ how are you spending £200?? Even at a fiver a drink that's 40 drinks

The £20 notes don’t get into the strippers knickers by themselves.

Lots of drinks cost more than £5.

£200 is pretty easy to hit on a proper night out in London if you're going to bars and clubs.

A couple of hours at our local pub is easily a £60 spend between the two of us. An entire night even with crap food like a burger would probably run us close to £150.

London is like £7 a pint, right? That's almost 30 pints. :dread:

Impressive staying power I guess.

What are you doing there? 3-4 pints each in a couple of hours is reasonable, at say £5 a pop for your area. That's still only £40 max.

£60 between you (with no food) in a couple of hours?

What the strawberry float are you drinking?

Why do you guys think people are only drinking pints?

*Edit* if you have something like an old fashioned, gin and tonic wth decent spirits it's probably going to set you back anywhere from £12-£16 depending on the place.

Hmm maybe it's more like £45 then with some peanuts at some point. I might be thinking of the notes I get through if I've got any and not taking any change in to account.

It's still a lot of money. God I remember (Or rather I don't) the pound a pint night the pub next to my college used yo do once a week. Absolutely strawberry floating leathered on £10

As a student (which I now realise was well over a decade ago  ) I used to think that if I'd spent more than £20 on a night out then I was being ripped off!

It's crazy how expensive "going out" has become now.

Most people are probably the same but I'd feel a bit silly going to Weatherspoons to buy 5 Reefs for £5 now.

Because that's what real men drink at pubs.

Was in a bar (Steinbeck & Shaw) in central Cardiff on weekend that do a 5-10pm happy hour with 50% off all drinks. Couldn't believe it. It was like I'd gone back a decade to a world where you could get a pint for £2-£2.50 on a night out.

I think that because Ad7 lives in a small Welsh rugby town. He hasn’t got the bollocks to go up to the bar with his English accent to request “Oh I say my dear landlord, please may I experience your finest gin and tonic, with a glass of something light and fruity for my lady friend?”

Nah, this was all proper pints for the most part. Plenty of places in Cardiff in the early 00's you could buy a decent pint for about £2, even less if you were knew which places had special discounts on certain days!

I have to admit I did knock back my fair share of WKD in the day as well though. :dread: :fp:

There's one of those in Bristol (or there was the last time I was out!), it is ridiculously cheap. Unfortunately it is also ridiculously busy.
