Demon's Souls: Game of the forever

What soul level were you at in new game +, Brer?

I made it through 1-1 unscathed at SL 93, mostly thanks to combining the Soulbrandt and Demonbrandt into the Northern Regalia. It's an absolute beast, took out all normal enemies in one hit, and the blue-eyed skeletons in 2-3. Finished off the Phalanx in about 30 seconds with it too :lol:

I did do 1-1 offline so I didn't get invaded and lose the souls from the last level of the previous game, though :shifty:

nothing shifty about that, (ps3 borked so i can't play this for a while

and to cap it off it's stuck in there)

The NG get harder and harder. I played this before it came to England (from America). I got up to NG8 and around level 350 *give or take* before finally platinuming it. Well worth the 120 hours put into it 8-)

Not looking forward to fighting Flamelurker again :fp:

Worst level of the game so far. Really annoying design and layout

First time I played that I was lost for a good hour or so, I had to summon someone to help :lol:

World 5 finished, all three bosses killed on first attempt 8-)

Seem to have a PWWT now, but I've think I've already missed most of the events where that would be a benefit.

Just world 1 to finish off now. Tried a little bit of 1-3 yesterday and got invaded by a black phantom. Managed to beat him though.

I played offline half the time, Black Phantoms will mega piss you off.

Walked in front of me while I was killing an enemy and one hit of my sword was enough to turn him hostile, had to kill him in the end :twisted:

I had another couple invade me again in 1-3, one after the other. The first was fended off and decided to leave my world. The next killed me only because I got trapped between him and a red knight. If they start getting on my nerves, I will start playing offline.

Had an interesting start to 1-4 yesterday. There were 3 NPC Black Phantoms standing behind some archers in a courtyard. After taking out the archers I decided to see if could defeat them 1 on 1. Managed to kill the first without any problems, but the second was a big dude with a scrapping spear and a massive shield. Before I knew it he had broken my Winged Spear & my back up sword, although I still had the meat cleaver. At that moment a Black Phantom invades my game and I'm thinking I'm ******. Then all of a sudden 30 thousand odd souls are added to my total and both the big dude with the shield and the invading BP are nowhere to be seen. I guess the invading BP must have fought & killed the big BP and then got killed by the third one :lol:

Unfortunately the final BP ran rings round me and I died.

Yeah the scraping spear reduces the durability of your armour and weapon every time you get hit, that's why it's so good in PvP.

I might try and do all of world 2 today so I can get Firestorm from the Dragon Demon's Soul. Flamelurker

I'll probably beef up my Purple Flame Shield a bit too.

Finished. Last boss was very tough and nicked a soul level off me

Ending was okay, but a tad confusing. Overall though an amazing game, I've honestly never played anything quite like it. At times it was incredibly cruel and frustrating at others it was just a pure joy to play - 9/10 for me.

A couple of things did confuse me though. On 1-4 Ostravia never dropped the key when I defeated his black phantom. On 5-2 the female Vinland never dropped the Dull armour when I defeated her in body form

How tough is NG+? :shifty:

You get the key after he kills himself on the stairs, not from the Black Phantom.

I'm not finding it too bad, actually. I breezed through 1-1, mostly due to knowing it so well, and having a powerful weapon.

I never even saw him on the stairs. Do mean the stairs past the blue dragon?

Yeah. I take it you never saved him in the previous levels?
