Absolutely heartbreaking. :(

I'm sorry to know what's happening and like I said I'm here if you need. Well, we are all here for you as well. My thoughts go to you and your family during difficult times.

I hope the hospital give you better care now, and the palliative specialists can give you support. Again if you want any help we are here for you. Please consider getting some professional therapy help yourself, you will be in shock now and for a while but this is not something you need to deal with without support.

I second this mention and it's very good advice.

Got a solicitor visiting the hospital this morning to sort her will out.

I'm having a strawberry floating awful morning, I took the day off to sort through some things, and I just found a bowel cancer screening kit she was sent before Christmas that she didn't take, its just sat in an envelope. Big headline on the letter is it could save you from dying of bowel cancer, it's strawberry floating awful.

For strawberry float sake if any of you have anything like that you're putting off, just do it.

I feel like I am just repeating the same tired cliches and there's nothing I can say that could possibly make anything better for you. But we are all thinking of you and we are all here for you if you need us for anything, even if it's just to get your thoughts out.

Just please neither of you blame yourselves, this is entirely outside your control. I second the advice that someone gave to please take any talking therapy that gets offered to you. I'm so sorry this is happening.

strawberry floating hell Ad.. I can't even begin to imagine.

I know I've not been posting, but I've been following everything.
I just struggle to find any words that might help or reassure. But please believe I'm thinking about you all the time, I'm absolutely heartbroken for you mate.

Again, you're probably being inundated with offers of help, but I'm only down the M4 corridor if you need me, or any help with anything.

Got the will sorted in the end. Been a really tough day, she's not looking good so I'm treasuring every moment I can get with her. She's now on a DNR, and they've said if I want to, I can stay over in her room. They can also arrange for me to take the dog in if she's up to it.

I've been offered support from.St David's hospice, which I've accepted. Someone will be in touch to help advise on what to do when she's gone, and they're going to offer me some sort of counselling.

The worst part is just talking with her about things, and she's absolutely terrified and just dwelling on all the things she won't be able to do, and how much she's going to miss me, and how worried about me she is.

It's our wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and we had the week off to go to Greece, so I'm hoping she's still around and I can at least get them to help take her outside or something as long as the weather is OK, so we can spend some time outside together.

I'm glad you're getting some support, it's so traumatic that you're going to need all the help you can get.

Only just caught up with this thread.

Everyone has already chimed in with messages of support and I can only reiterate that - we are always here, at any time, and in whatever capacity you require. If it's an angry rant, if it's when you feel at your lowest, if it's just to switch off and make a banal comment about a game, we'll be around.

I also don't mean to sound callous or selfish here, but also make sure you get the support and care you need in all this. I am sure you are being an absolute rock for your wife, but I would echo what others have said about getting some support in place for yourself as well and getting it in early - don't let it get to a breaking point.

Apart from that, as everyone has said, our thoughts will be with you both
