Apparently that was the heroic version of the event too.

Hi guys. I've been levelling up whenever I have the time and have finally dragged my sorry ass up to level 284.

The clan engrams have been a huge help, BTW, so thanks for that.

I've still never done a Nightfall or even attempted the Raid - my mates have kinda deserted me a little, mainly owing to my inability to be on regularly.

So here I am, cap in hand, wondering if, and when, people would be able to maybe do the Raid? I think I need to be dragged through it by better (sympathetic) players a bit.

When are you guys usually playing and are you ever short of a player at all? :simper:

Anyone play this on PC? Is it worth it?

TDLR: There's a hidden diminishing returns mechanice, and the the UI regularly lies to you about how much XP you're earning. Pretty much any activity where you're chaining "XP earns" together, gets DRed fast. It will tell you earn X XP, but only 0.5 (or 0.04!)XP will be added to your progress.

Can't have people earning too many bright engrams.

So the UI outright lies to you about what you're earning? Nice :?

I always wondered why it was taking so long to get my 3 free weekly bright engrams even if I was ploughing through heroic public events every 5 minutes.

Deactivated the XP system with immediate effect

https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46494

Incredibly disingenuous message there - if you’re that concerned about equalising XP players earn for different activities actual scale the numbers - not make the UI lie to people

So they got caught using a shitty system that basically lied to players about how much XP they were getting to get them to play longer and now they're changing it

At least they fixed it rather than try to justify it.

Just started playing on PC. It looks lovely, and is super detailed, but there's absolutely zero interaction with the environment, so it's essentially just a series of pretty, but completely empty, corridors. So far, at least. Also, the game forces you into opening cinematic, character creation and the opening level, before you can play with any settings more advanced than resolution.

Yeah, you're welcoming to join with us and I am sure a few of us are happy to help you out with what you need. Basically, I've done almost everything except the Raid.

It's some shady ass gooseberry fool. EA level gooseberry fool. Deliberately lying to the player to guide them towards microtransactions. And they straight up admitted it

Games in 2017. Urgh.

I hadn't realised clans were cross platform, but I've joined the GRcade clan now. I assume there's no cross platform play, though?

Turned off throttle so the numbers the UI showed as XP were accurate and people received the XP they were told they did

Doubled XP needed to level up...

Glad i bought this cheap from CDkeys. Wont spend a penny on MT's, blasted through SP, did some strikes and gooseberry fool, and now im done. Im not into grinding the same missions over and over for loot and have no desire to do endgame gooseberry fool. To be honest as much as i like Destiny, ill still never understand the appeal of the monumental grinding in it.

That new super long public event is really going to be a great place to grind XP now.

Did they fix the exploit that let people fast travel from a finished public event and get put into another public event in progress in the same area immediately?
