Reddit did the maths including everything (Sparrows, Ghosts, Amors, Guns, Shaders, Emotes etc) there's more Everiss stuff than you get elsewhere.

There's more focus on the CoO Launch trailer on Everiss Items than others (it's close though)

Welcome to the Spendgame.

Loads of stuff that could have easily been strike-exclusive loot (which is still non-existent)

They really should have player test realms or something before a big update like this. I'm not expecting the bit in the weekly update to be anything more than a snarky "WHOOPS! These things happen! Hotfix next reset!"

They really should.

It's so funny comparing the Overwatch and Destiny Subreddits

They're like ying and yang

Don't think I've ever seen the Destiny subreddit as bad as it is now. It's been really down on everything since the first Osiris stream. Would love it if they did another stream with Gothaion again

Sure, it's fun on one end of it, but that looks horrendous for everyone else.

I'm slowly making my way through the campaign, so not touched the pvp yet, anyway. It's good fun so far. Really satisfying gun play, and the Levens look amazing, running at a smooth 60fps.it's just a shame that there's no opportunity to interact with the environment at all, and no incentive to explore. You'd think a game that's put so much effort into level design and lore would actually want you to spend some time exploring the world rather than just sprinting through it.

I'm still not sure I really get the difference between the weapon types. Power weapons are obviously "powerful" like grenade launchers, but kinetic and power weapons seem to be the same types, just one is arbitrarily better against shields because energy. Because the game pushes you to equip the most powerful in your inventory at all times, I sometimes find myself with two single shot weapons equipped at once, and struggling against large groups of enemies without switching back down to a lower power weapon, reducing my overall power level.

If you're talking about gearing up - what level drops are at is based on your highest possible power, not your equipped power. So you can ignore that push

The last boss in the DLC was really cool, much better than the one in the main game.

I see some people on reddit are getting refunds for the digital base game because the DLC raised the required power level of the prestige raid and stuff and you need to do that for one of the achievements and to get that exotic shotgun. You're locked out of that without buying the DLC.

I assumed drops were based on your character level, as most of what I get seems to be my level or occasionally one higher. Good to know what actually determines them.

I just mean that your character's power level is determined by the gear you have equipped, so you feel like you need to have your highest rated weapon on, even if it means sacrificing rate of fire.

Unrelated, but it looks like anyone without the expansion is now locked out of end game content that they would have had access to a week ago:

That is total bollocks.
It makes me wonder if people who paid for the DLC would moan if base players were able to get gear at the new level cap.
I would have no problem with it as they are only powering up stuff they already have so they can do the endgame stuff that they already paid for.

It looks like players without the DLC can buy the DLC items, even if they can't reach the new level cap.

Most of the engrams have stopped increasing in strength awfully early :?
Well, that’s that, then. Feel a bit stiffed for £16 or whatever.

I was initially tempted with this on launch, but all I've seen from people who have reached the endgame is criticism of how poorly that aspect has been done. Is there any point buying this at the moment?

It really depends on who you play this with. If you join the grcade crew you'll have a great time as we're a generally relaxed bunch who just play for fun with no pressure.
As a single player it's fair to middling with the endgame stuff being ok for a while but it does become kind of pointless once max power is reached.

On balance I'd say it's worth it but it certainly doesn't have the longevity of Destiny 1.

The PVP has now become a case of use the Fire gun or lose.
