I think Halo would be a good comparison. There are lots of parts where you have to choose whether to kill everything or just rush past.

This week's nightfall is particularly rush-based due to the modifiers that focus on speed above all else. When there are time boosts available, it becomes a much more strategic decision to rush or take time to clear areas.
I prefer the time limits to D1 at launch, where everyone just sat at the back of the map with scout rifles and the "icebreaker" sniper rifle, taking out every enemy one-by-one because they had to avoid dying at all costs.

I just like the availability of grenades and rifts.

Okay. Name any other modern shooter. They all have sections where you can choose to engage enemies or not, depending on the objective.

I wasn’t a massive fan of timed nightfall’s but the sense of achievement you get when you defeat the boss with less then 10 seconds to go is a buzz.

If you want normal strikes you have the play list but having timed modifiers and timed objectives can really push a player and it makes the strike completely different.

Especially great with a couple of marras on helping.

I think you’re missing the point, but whatever. Opinions.

How is the PC version?
Has has the move to 60fps really made as much difference?

Ok but the arcstrider super is amazingly gooseberry fool.
It look super fancy and stuff but in pvp people can just run away.

It is absolutely lovely. Much wider field of view, PvP is an entirely different game. I won't abandon you lot on PS4 though!

EDIT: Also the benefits of being in the clan carry over, so despite being the only PC member of GRCade, I can still claim the engrams for the nightfall and crucible already!

Just did the Raid. Looks lovely but is needlessly complicated for those that never got round to doing a raid back on Destiny 1 (such as me). How anyone could know their way around the underbelly of the Leviathan (like some of the fireteam I was with) is beyond me. I'm hoping for a Raid that is a little less oblique next time.

If you're a Titan and bought Sweet Business from Xur last week, he's selling the Actium War Rig this week :datass:

Yeah it's weird how they have basically soft rebooted Destiny and made most of the stuff appealing to newcomers. Perhaps at the cost of annoying veterans who were used to Year 3 of D1 and it's myriad of convulted systems stacked up on each other (honestly, go back and check out your old character's inventory).

But then the raid is definitely not an introduction to the raid system. I really like it, but it's definitely better as something different to the more combat-heavy older raids rather than your first experience of one.

I like the raid and the mechanics. Not having a series of dps encounters is nice (I’m looking at you Kings Fall).

Got all the raid armour on my hunter yesterday and only one bit left on my warlock. When I level a titan it’s not disappointing that I can carry on running the Leviathan for tokens on all characters to get my titan gear.

I see in the weekly update they acknowledged the problem of loading into empty instances too often. That's a pain in the arse whenever I want to pop on to do the Flashpoint and there's strawberry float all people there to help with heroic events.

I've noticed that a lot as well.
When the flashpoint is on Titan with just 2 events it's a real pain and almost not worth doing.

I just keep fast travelling to the same place until there is someone there. Also if you finish quickly, fast travel again to try for a two for one.

I always do this and it’s a lot quicker.
