Trials cancelled for two weeks because of an emote glitch [emoji1] :fp:

The day after they banned players for cheating during Trials by DDOS for 2 weeks

Also - no mention of Festival of the Lost (and it's not on PC roadmap) :(

 ffs

Obvious thing would be to just disable emotes in Trials but then you'd probably have people moaning who paid for silver dust to buy them not being able to use them.

My thoughts exactly. This has a much better end game than Destiny 1. The only way you could be hitting 305 and running out of things to do to progress is if you've played for nearly 48hrs - and i f you have, I want your levels of spare time. I love it. More than enough to keep me occupied.

My only small gripe is the necessity to arrange a fireteam for Nightfall and Raid outside of game. Why there's no match making (or at least some way to select / join fireteams that need other members) in game is beyond me.

Uh, there is actually now a thing called guided games which matchmakes you with people for the nightfall and Raid.

But yeah, I think it's good to remember that the subreddit is a very small percentage of the player base and that most people are happy playing the game once or twice a week and not every day.

As for the emote, why the heck they couldn't just disable the emote for a few weeks I don't understand. In Overwatch when there was a game breaking glitch with DVa (I believe) they disabled the entire character until it was fixed.

Also I tried Devour build Warlock in our raid attempt last night (Gauntlet...we'll get it eventually)

That's just silly.

I'm assuming because there's no way to just "disable" it.

And even if they could - people paid premium currency (some, if not most, of which will be obtained via real money) for it, so them to lose access for it (even for a short time) will be a gooseberry fool storm of negativity...focused on their micro transactions.

Can't even be arsed doing the flashpoint this week since it's on Titan and there's strawberry float all there.

See you next week.

The nightfall is actually kind of fun this week with the super charging grenades and rifts.
They should keep that modifier all the time for the nightfall.

I'm struggling to find a decent raiding group. When using the "looking for groups" option on Xbox Live, once I've got a group, they seem to struggle to get started with people leaving before we get anyway. It's a bit frustrating as this is the only part of the game I haven't experienced yet and I've never completed a raid in Destiny 1, either.

Try the100.io site. Pretty decent for pre-arranged Destiny activities, and definitely a step up from LFG pick-up groups.

I've just checked the site and am gooseberry fool torn by one of the options. I'm not sure which play style to choose. I don't want to play with people you take it too seriously and would prefer a more friendly fun atmosphere but at the same time I also want to get stuff like the raid done and not end up with people who just end up needing around.

Which one would you suggest Black Stig?

Don’t worry about which you select in the options. Can’t even remember which I picked.

Do keep an eye out on the comments for raid teams though, and it’s worth respecting the hosts pre-requisites. It’s not quite Destiny levels of “25+ hard mode clears, all challenge emblems and a GHorn in every hand”, but if they ask that you know what to do then at least have watched a video. Still plenty of groups running sherpa raids though.

If in doubt, drop a message in the chat and ask. Last week I joined a group running Prestige. I declared I’d got 5 or 6 normal clears, and wasn’t 100% on all roles for the last encounter. All fine and everyone pulled their weight. Didn’t get it done though as Prestige is a pure struggle bus :fp: .

I'm jumping over to PC. I played through the story and did a decent bit of exploration on PS4 just to tide me over but I've saved quite a bit for PC. Excited to finally get playing for real. Feel free to add me on Battle.net, I'm Crimson#22400.

If you have a VPN and have a GTX 1080/1080ti, you can buy codes for the game from people who got it in a promotion for like £30. However, its a ballache. I got it for like £41 on the humble store, using the subscriber 10% discount.

I like Destiny 2, but I don't think I like it enough to buy it twice. My PC couldn't run it anyway.

Plus I find keyboards horrendously uncomfortable for gaming.
