Just properly started it and have just got to the Farm. Getting to this point I've only seen two human players. At the farm, there is no one! I'm assuming that this is some kind of hub so either I'm wrong or there is hardly anyone playing the PC version.....

The farm is really rather odd as they obviously put a fair bit of work into it but it's only any use for a small time during the story and then becomes completely pointless. It's got potential to be great but just isn't.

Looks like they've basically turned heroic strikes into one of the main endgame activities now, recommended light is 350 but the legendary drops from them are of course capped at 340.

Weird, after going to earth it booted me back to orbit but then I couldn't go anywhere (said something like not available at this time). Then suddenly it did allow me and it was like I had entered a different universe where other people were back in the game!

After playing some of the campaign, really liking it. Runs really well on my PC and everything looks nice. I think because I didn't play the original as much as some people on here I'm not fed up with it as I can imagine it seems too similar to the original.

The single player campaign was excellent, it was pretty much the only thing that was a big improvement over the first game.

Is the Warmind campaign just one long continous mission or something? I was actually 10 power underleveled for the initial mission but thought I'd try it out anyway and maybe get some better gear in the process, and when I came up against the first boss I kept getting killed.
At first I tried to return to orbit, but it wouldn't let me. Eventually I figured I'll persevere and was able to beat the boss, figuring I'd leave the next mission and do some strikes or something to level up, but the mission keeps going and going and going. Every time previous missions would have ended it just gave you a new objective immediately. The only way out was to completely close the game.

It's separate missions but there's parts where it seems like a mission has finished but it's still actually going. Weird that it wouldn't let you just quit to orbit, never had that happen before.

All I can think is that it was because I was in a "No respawns" section, but it was an open area boss battle so you couldn't actually leave it.

Remember how Bungie have said time and time again that they won't add proper matchmaking to the Nightfall because of its higher difficulty and need for communication between players? The heroic strikes are level 350, have matchmaking, and are harder than the Nigthfall (light level of that is 270) :simper:

Legendary engrams from non-weekly milestone activities cap at 345 with legendary mods so you're basically strawberry floated and are in for a slow grind to reach 350 if you don't raid or play crucible (which is still terrible btw)

They haven’t upped the Nightfall light level in the space of 2 expansions? Are you sure?

They can't increase the light level of it otherwise the trophy for completing it would be locked behind buying the expansions. I'm sure they tried to do that before Curse of Osiris came out but there was a huge backlash.

You’re absolutely right. What a carry on, and for something as daft as Trophies.

Only prestige nightfall is updated. Higher difficulty base and you can add like 5 modifiers too

There was kickback on the PC, too, so not just over trophies. It would lock people who bought the base game alone, out of content they previously had, because they didn't buy the expansion.

Game is definitely in a much, much better place than it was at launch or with Curse of Osiris. The exotic buffs to stuff like Graviton Lance, Skyburner's Oath, Crimson etc. actually make those exotics feel powerful unlike before. I see according to the roadmap there's a big exotic armour change coming and going by the titan stuff I have there's definitely some that need buffed.

They've already responded to the criticism of the heroic strike drops being 5-10 levels lower than the recommended level for the activity and are changing it so you get a 360 drop roughly every 3-5 heroic strike completions which is baby steps I guess.

Haven't been able to properly try the new Escalation Protocol activity yet since it's recommended 370 light  It doesn't look anywhere near as fun as the horde stuff of Prison of Elders or Archon's Forge though (I really miss them).

Can see myself playing this for the milestones every week more often than I did the month or so after launch and after Curse of Osiris but there's still a lot of stuff that needs sorted with the big expansion later this year. Selectable strikes, strike-specific loot, an actual decent horde activity, NEW ENEMIES THAT AREN'T RESKINS (I don't think we'll get these until D3 since Warmind heavily hints that the next expansion will be Hive-focused) and more PvE activities for starters.

Agree with this. It's improved a lot but there's still plenty to be done. For the moment I'm happy to keep coming back to work on exotic masterworks and work towards Escalation Protocol. Hopefully they can keep up the positive momentum.

Destiny 2's new Iron Banner Exotic emote costs $10

New emote that can only be purchased directly from the Eververse store with cash.
Cannot be obtained any way besides a direct cash purchase.

It's available for direct purchase for 1100 silver, which works out to $10 in real money. Sorry, bright dust not accepted.

Some of my clanmates have emblems that cost $50, so I expect to see plenty of these about

Cosmetic items so it doesn't really bother me.

Bit of a newb question, but where do you get silver coins from? Are you supposed to buy with real money?

*Edit* Just did a search. :dread:
