That's most likely because this weeks nightfall is just not fun at all.
All the enemies are tanky as hell and you have to sprint to regain health and it's just a big pile of bollocks.

We used LFG for 2 others. One knew the underbelly like the back of his hand so that was useful.

I haven't even tried it this week but I've seen which strike it is and I bet the bits with the ogres are strawberry floating horrible. The time limit just feels like something they've added to cover up their shitty design decisions. Dunno why they decided to ditch all their modifiers from the first game.

Tried again a few times and failed again. This really is a gooseberry fool nightfall with no positive modifiers and enemies with massive health and no healing unless you sprint which you can't because there's so many enemies bullet spamming.

Yeah, I couldn't do the NF without cheesing it. Couldn't be bothered to do it with more than one character.

What's your tactic for Calus? We can do the other three sections pretty much on the first go or with one or two mistakes, but Calus still takes about 2 hours.

I reckon we aren't pushing the buff enough. Normally they want to drop the shield when we get 50, but this leaves us having to do three damage phases which increases the chance of a mistake.

Yesterday we were getting even less of a buff and had to attempt four phases, which means more holes in the floor in the skull room which some of them weren't prepared for.

We also got to his final wipe stage and didn't seem to be doing any damage to his final shield (it doesn't help that I told people to save their supers for it, which they didn't, and we had little ammo).

It's weird as we finished the raid last week and damage wasn't a problem, whereas his week we were struggling a bit. We had two different players this time so maybe their power level/weaponry weren't as good? I know one of them was only about 282 or something and didn't have Coldheart or a particularly decent heavy.

You want to have at least 70-80 stacks when you take his shield down. Our tactic is to have a warlock put a healing rift next to one of the Psion pillars (but where you can still hit Calus). This takes some of the strain off when deciding when to take his shield down. I've not done the other part yet, but I believe another warlock with the empowering rift can help in there (possibly at the skulls bit).

Other then that, when it gets to the part where you jump on the plates:
Titans should have the pulse grenades unlocked, along with the bottom (I think) path on the tree, which allows for a longer duration and a second grenade. These absolutely rinse Calus (and also the dogs in the pleasure gardens)
Titans should also put the half barricade up on the two plates nearest to Calus, which allows for everyone to fire rockets, tap B to crouch, tap B again to stand, fire second rocket - rinse and repeat.
Cluster bomb rockets do the most damage, so Sins Of The Past works well (If you got it from a previous raid), as does Curtain Call (RNG Vanguard drop).
Coldheart is another decent weapon, as it deals more damage the longer it is hitting an enemy.

With those tips, we've two-phased Calus more times than not :D Hope it helps.

Morning all!

I've finally finished all the Ghostbuster suits for my halloween orders, so I can play this later this evening!
I'll be on around 9pm.

Providing that it doesn't need three hours of updates :x

It wouldn't actually surprise me if Bungie offered loads of goodies like that in a PvP mode and left PvE hanging.

The Nightfall is The Inverted Spire with Attrition (wells of light dropped by killed enemies restore health) and Killing Time (kill enemies to extend time limit). No burn. 12 minutes on the clock for normal, 8 for Prestige.

From Reddit: Seems like 2 Medals for a loss, 5 for a win, 15 for all 3 challenges (assume a couple for each challenge as well)

20 Medals per spin of the loot slot machine.

Daily Milestone to do the 3 challenges, "Seasonal" Milestone to do 10 hand ins.

That's a lot of matches...

Ive got my guardian up to level 282. The blue drops / vendor items are capping off at 272. They used to cap at 265 before me getting up to about level 270ish(?)

At what level do i have to get to before this soft cap on item levels raises again? If at all?
