I'm struggling to find a decent raiding group. When using the "looking for groups" option on Xbox Live, once I've got a group, they seem to struggle to get started with people leaving before we get anyway. It's a bit frustrating as this is the only part of the game I haven't experienced yet and I've never completed a raid in Destiny 1, either.

Try the100.io site. Pretty decent for pre-arranged Destiny activities, and definitely a step up from LFG pick-up groups.

I've just checked the site and am gooseberry fool torn by one of the options. I'm not sure which play style to choose. I don't want to play with people you take it too seriously and would prefer a more friendly fun atmosphere but at the same time I also want to get stuff like the raid done and not end up with people who just end up needing around.

Which one would you suggest Black Stig?

Don’t worry about which you select in the options. Can’t even remember which I picked.

Do keep an eye out on the comments for raid teams though, and it’s worth respecting the hosts pre-requisites. It’s not quite Destiny levels of “25+ hard mode clears, all challenge emblems and a GHorn in every hand”, but if they ask that you know what to do then at least have watched a video. Still plenty of groups running sherpa raids though.

If in doubt, drop a message in the chat and ask. Last week I joined a group running Prestige. I declared I’d got 5 or 6 normal clears, and wasn’t 100% on all roles for the last encounter. All fine and everyone pulled their weight. Didn’t get it done though as Prestige is a pure struggle bus :fp: .

I'm jumping over to PC. I played through the story and did a decent bit of exploration on PS4 just to tide me over but I've saved quite a bit for PC. Excited to finally get playing for real. Feel free to add me on Battle.net, I'm Crimson#22400.

If you have a VPN and have a GTX 1080/1080ti, you can buy codes

I like Destiny 2, but I don't think I like it enough to buy it twice. My PC couldn't run it anyway.

Plus I find keyboards horrendously uncomfortable for gaming.

You can use a pad.

You'll be at a disadvantage in PvP, obviously.

Finally did a Nightfall using Guided Games. Cheers guys, nice one.
That time limit thing has just ruined them, really. The 2 guys I was with just sprinted to the end, bypassing as much as possible. What’s the point?

I had this on a normal strike the other day. One guy ran ahead, I and the other chap didn't follow. Separated, we all died.

Great :|

I'm already having nightmares imagining how much more oppressive Mida will be when people have point and click aiming, unless hey have upped the recoil to compensate or something, I know rainbow 6 did that.

If they haven't done that that's probably why hand cannons feel so easy to use on PC.

Buff you know you can ask us to do the nightfall right? I responded to you when you asked about doing the nightfall but you didn't message me or respond or anything.

On the contrary, what's the point of killing enemies you don't need to? People run past those enemies in normal strikes too. They don't just do it because of the timer. Knowing what enemies you can evade and how to evade them is part of getting better at the strike. Surely you can understand that?

Unless you want the entire strike just to be "Kill all enemies" over and over again where it boxes you in until you kill them I don't really get it.

It just seems to defeat the object of the thing, to me.

But why? Some sections of strikes are there to see how quickly you can navigate them, other parts are there to see how quickly you can defeat enemies.

I can guarantee you if every strike required you to kill every single enemy before you could progress they would not be enjoyable to play.

Think of other games, they have combat sections and platforming/navigation sections. Destiny is no different.

If you're playing The Last of Us and just avoid all of the enemies instead of fighting them that doesn't then defeat the point of the game right? It means you knew which parts you could sneak past so you could accomplish your goals more efficiently.
