The strike is so bad it feels like one of the ones they gave away for free done by the live team in Destiny 1. The boss is so gooseberry fool.

We tried it (270 to 290 light) - died lots to roaming pikes and events (while fighting walker - thanks)

Got to the boss with 4 minutes. Failed horribly.

Tightened up - got to boss with 8 minutes. No where near killing him.

Shitty modifiers (they changed after some dis with Prism) and shitty strike.

We made vague noises about trying again later in week but not sure much enthusiasm

Dinoric, Fade and I completed it in the second attempt, but it was very close to kill it off before the timer expired. :)

I think I have done all quests, so now I am going grinding my Titan to Light 280-290 and I should be ready for another attempt in the Raid.

How much time did you have When you entered boss room?

I'm thinking Rockets might have been better than sniper/fusion for more damage before the triggered invis

Reddit and Bungie forums all suggest just bugging him off the edge for this nightfall

Erm... I can't remember how much exactly, but I am sure it was just under ten minutes. Make sure to shoot the blue orb/stuff to get some more time (30 seconds) before getting into the final boss.

We used swords, rockets and super power (Arc, I think).

Perhaps, Dinoric or Fade can remember it better than I do.

Managed to get to 245 Power today. Got an Exotic Engram drop from a regular Public Event on Titan as well.

I’ve sat and played this for a fair whack today and boosted my light level by about 100, I’m at 220 and just about to go to Io. The overworlds are a brilliant piece of work this time around, constantly throwing activities at you. Looking forward to exploring them all again to find the remaining lost sectors when the campaign is over.

Maybe I'm having an off week but between that and some bullshit raid, loot chest lockouts (thanks Cayde) and loot mechanics (3 of my 4 powerful engrams were for the same slot, other was a hand cannon...which I can't use to boost weapons I like) I've really soured on Destiny this week

Also - why the hell is the mod storage limited not enough for one of everytime? Particularly when it's complete RNG what blues you get?

Apparently they've patched the nightfall to remove the burns or something?

Yeah yesterday morning it was Prism + Anomalies, now it's Attrition + Anomalies

Attrition means no health regen. Enemies MAY drop pools of light that start regen when picked up and slightly increase your super.

IMO (and quite a few people's) opinion that makes the strike much much harder (especially with the bullet sponge boss)

Others (largely, but not exclusively those that did it with Prism :P) it's easier now as before if you didn't have the right element, you were doing less damage to the boss. (Although you should make sure your fireteam has one of each in energy/power slot?).

Either way it's a bollocks NF - it's impressive to those that did it (less so with Prism :P)

The boss is so strawberry floating shite on that strike it feels like you spend more time waiting for him to disappear and reappear than you do playing the rest of the strike beforehand.

You get 14 minutes when you come in...we went into the boss with 9 minutes and still failed. I think we added about 10 minutes to the timer, so you're not far...

I finally have a set-up I'm pretty happy with in all situations.
290 arc warlock power with all armour pieces helping charge my arc abilities.
For weapons I have Scathelock auto rifle, Hard light and a rocket launcher.

I shouldn't need to get much better unless I want to try the prestige nightfall.

Him just sodding off is bloody annoying and is just terrible game design when you have people against the clock and you're unable to actually damage the boss as he's off somewhere having a fag break.

I'm switching between them all but generally go for arc/void. I'm using the Crown of Tempests if Arc, or the "all cooldowns reduced" hat if Void. (Everything else is specced for recharge, or handling)

Nameless Midnight, MidaMini then Merciless.

Similar power level to you.

I'm about 280 now

My go to is chest of alpha lupi, because in this game it gives you a small chunk of health back when you deploy your shield, it can be a real life saver

And I pretty much always use Risk runner because I can just kamikaze myself with a pulse grenade to set off the chain lightning, which makes the gun great for both DPS and ad control

Got Sweet Business tonight from an exotic engram in a public event chest. It feels a lot better than it did in the beta and it works great with th small Titan barricade.

Either everyone else in quick play pvp somehow became gooseberry fool or my tactic of just running about with Hard Light isn't as terrible as I think it is.
I'm actually doing not total gooseberry fool and usually I'm in the top 2 on the team and I've even had wins which I thought was pretty unlikely.

I'm still not doing Trials though as I'll get completely battered and my confidence isn't exactly sky high.
