Destiny 2: The Witch Queen out now

I started 1 the other day, would it make more sense to be playing this one as it is the latest? or would it be better to play the first one before getting and starting this ?

I like the little helpful drones I can give to people who step into my healing rift.
If all they do is help to break shields it's a bonus.

All progress from Destiny is wiped so it's only worth it if you want to experience the game in full.
Personally I'd not bother and just start Destiny 2 and join our clan as you can then level up with the other new players and join us for raids and nightfalls.

Destiny will be light in terms of content players, and you might struggle to find teams for raids etc.

The only reason to play is the story which....yeah...I'd find a quick summary if I were you.

What classes do we have then as it seems you, Ric and I are Warlocks and and Fade is a Titan.
With 3 warlocks during the raid the rifts should be up pretty much constantly if we stagger them.

They quite liked it once they experience my Arc Soul, but it still makes them laugh.

I'm struggling as I like "bits" of all the Warlock subclasses and bits of each attunement - but struggling to find one I always want to play.

Arc edges it for me due to the souls being nice burst - and given the CD I like the Super can take out ALOT of adds - feels like best return on time.

Void - devourer build is fun, but add focused and needs to be off CD to "set up". Like it for missions/solo. Otherwise pick the other attune. The charged grenade feature is good, and gets some use from your Super which stays charged for ages normally waiting for a good moment, so getting some benefit from that feels like a good use of time.

I'm going with a and Arc build with all my items having Arc bonuses so my abilities charge faster.
I also have a great exotic grenade launch (The Prospector) which does massive damage and is fun to use but I need another higher level grenade launcher to infuse it so I can use it during the raid.

I'm rolling "Does Not Computer" Scout Rifle (feels very D1), Mida Mini Tool for energy and the either Prospector (as you say insane) or Borelais Sniper Rifle (you can change it's element! But I'm not Finding Snipers amazing damage so far)

I think I'm edging towards Void atm - but then with all armor being the same, and duplicates/equivalents not that rare it won't be too long before we can have modded sets for each class.

I have that exotic grenade launcher too and it's pretty neat. :datass:

Although I've been rotating in an Exotic AR I got which is basically a chuffin Mini Gun.

I don't see any reason to actually use a shotgun if you've got a sword. Moving them to the power weapon slot seems to have made them almost completely redundant.

When does the weekly reset/flashpoint change again? Tuesday at 8am/9am UK time?

Also I've done a few challenges today and it doesn't seem to have increased my Vanguard rep at all. What am I getting apart from EDZ tokens? Same with the patrols, as Cayde doesn't even seem to have a reputation bar and is just selling the same four pieces of tat every day.

Cayde doesn't have a bar IIRC.

Challenges will give tokens for their activity won't they? So Earth challenges will give EDZ etc...only challenges in strikes give Vanguard Tokens. So you're getting what you're supposed to I think?

Level 7 or so and I gave my EDZ tokens to the guy in the Bell Tower and it unlocked a sweet looking purple gun. Shame I can't claim it till I'm level 20. :fp:

If you have Chalky on your Friends list give him a shout as he's also at about that level.

I just did two strikes and I enjoyed both. It's so much to do than Destiny I think and I haven't finished the main story yet.

Urgh I was meant to go to bed two hours ago. I'll regret this in the morning.

Deep in the grind now though. A slither under 250, though I still haven't finished the main story or the quest content. There's definitely so much more to the average open world stuff now. Just hope it keeps its allure after I'm close to the level cap.
