It's also a part of the Humble Monthly so $12 and you get some other games. On PC though.

I did post it in the bargains thread, but I don't think anyone paid any note of it

I still subscribe to Humble Monthly so I'll try out Destiny 2 when I have more free time.

I actually double dipped on this (PS4 & PC) and once the PC version came out I simply haven't touched the PS4 version.
It's fantastic on the PC! The 60fps + jump in itself is wonderful, but increasing the FOV just makes it even better. Being able to play it in ultra-wide resolution just cements it for me.
I haven't had much issues with loss of players on the PC and played the recent Iron Banner with no issues and no excessive wait times. Really looking forward to Warmind, but my expectations are tempered. It'll be September before we see something really exciting! A couple of screenshots on PC

I think the fact that they know the game is broken and has lost all but the ultra hardcore players really says a lot given they are one of the largest developers in the business.
They need to take people from Destiny 3 development and fix Destiny 2 now or they may as well cancel 3 as the fans will have all left the series far behind.

The Taken Queen (or whatever they call it) expansion needs to be bloody amazing and change the game in some pretty fundamental ways. Even though I've already paid for the next update I'm not sure if I'll re-install this which is pretty amazing given how much I enjoyed Destiny 1 with the guys on here.

If they can somehow get back the magic of Destiny 1 I will gladly eat a whole heap of humble pie but I just don't think the developers have it in them any more and tghey don't seem to listen to the fans who tell them exactly what the problems are and offer decent fixes.

My PC falls somewhere between minimum and recommended specs. Do you think PC version would still give me a better version than the PS4?

Yes?

Straight off the bat, yes! You can increase your field of view which makes it instantly better than the console versions. It's an extremely well optimised game, so performance shouldn't be an issue. Check your PM

At this point I wouldn't care at all if there's not a Destiny 3. Seems like it's becoming more an more obvious that Bungie bit off more than they could chew with the original vision they had and all the development problems and reboots that happened. The pace that they update the game is ridiculous compared to stuff like Overwatch, PUBG and Fortnite and looking at the roadmap they'll have basically spent almost a year updating the game to remove all the silly changes they made from Destiny 1 that most of the fans immediately hated.

The PC version is remarkably well optimised and put together. It looks great and runs really nicely. Apparently this bundle has brought in loads more players as well.

I still play, but less than I did - my clan is gearing up for the expansion today.

I'll be honest, even at £8 I'm probably not going to bother. I enjoyed Destiny 1, sunk a shitload of time into it, but when the point of a game is to level and get the good loot, what's the point if there's nowhere to go with it and nothing to do with it? Even the new expansion they announced looks weak as.

Oh come on, it looks great! They painted the Hive white and everything!

I still haven't finished the campaign, and I'm not sure I can be bothered going back to it

Left my PS4 on rest mode while I was at work so it would download the 6.5GB patch but once again it's done strawberry float all.

The new patrol area on Mars is pretty cool but again, like the last expansion, it's a bit too small. I've done two missions so far and they were good I guess but you're still fighting the same enemies over and over again (there's ice-based Hive but I've honestly got no idea what's different about them other than the pallet swap.)

That's disappointing. They could have at least made them slower but more powerful which would at least seem slightly plausible with them being frozen.
I'm not sure how hard that would have been to implement but surely it wouldn't be impossible.

The only actual new strike is PS4 exclusive apparently. The other two strikes are just re-used campaign missions and bosses.

strawberry floating hell it's like they don't even try and listen to fans as that's part of the gooseberry fool they've been moaning about with the last expansion.
It's actually interesting to see just how blind they are now and just how many fans they can alienate.

What I did last night was fun, but short. Ive finished the story but the guns seem neato.

Just having new things to collect is a bit of a novelty.
