Is it true that the level of engram drops are dependant on the highest equipment level in your inventory rather that what is equipped?

Has anyone managed to get a second character to join a (different to your first) faction? or a faction at all?

My second character isnt able to get faction tokens or join a faction.

The faction stuff finished on Tuesday it’s not a permanent thing.

yeah, my second character is level 20 and the factions appeared after i finished the story. I can buy the dead orbit scout rifle, but i cant spend any of the tokens in my inventory that my other character earned. I also cant join any of them. My first character can still spend tokens. Not sure if my first character can find more tokens though. My first character also has the faction icon, that my second character doesnt. I guess it is a week long periodic thing.

I understand the game encourages you to join different factions with second character.

2 runs at nightfall tonight. What a joyless unrewarding experience that was.

The nightfall is just not worth doing. All the enemies are super tanky and after the fun of last weeks grenadefest it's just a chore.
I was hoping the time glitch may help but I honestly don't think it does as the lack of a third player makes progress so slow that even getting time back doesn't help.

They've capped the max time you can add now so proper run with 3 getting most of the anomalies is probably better than getting 'all' but with 2 progressing

That titan IB armour is nice. Wonder what light level the gear drops at, ft it's higher than your light level and ends up being a better way of progression than PvE stuff just like in Destiny 1 they can strawberry float off.

I'm expecting it'll be like any other token grind - 5 levels below your "true" level

They responded to complaints about the lack of decent endgame content (either in scope, interest or rewards)

My challenge to every Guardian is to look to the human element in Destiny 2 to fuel your appetite for ultimate re-playability. The ultimate loot is the friendships that can grow out of a game like this. There will be more gear to add to your character (next week, even). The rewards that I’m talking about are the people in the community that thrives in this game. If you let them, they’ll make your hobby as a light-dealing hero on a starside campaign for glory even better.

Friends are the real loot.

I still quite enjoy public events as with a bunch of people they can get rather chaotic.
