I'm still playing this a good bit when i can but with a new baby boy it's damn difficult. I have though gotten a close friend into playing Destiny and he is loving it, it's quite interesting as well going through the game with a newbie. So much changed over 2 and a bit years. Also in other destiny news i'm intrigued by the new patch and what that will do for auto rifles, i kick fairly regular arse with autos already mainly using the suros and zhalo so this could be interesting.

I don't think I'll be playing this again. Too much of a time sink. I'd rather split my time between other games. Seeing my playtime on this makes me regret playing it so much.

I can't say I regret my time with destiny as it was 95% with the guys on here and was huge fun.
I just got burned out doing the same content over and over again and I'm fairly sure if the gang from here goes for Destiny 2 I'll happily join in.
I just hope they can make it so the monsters don't always spawn in exactly the same place every time as that would add quite a bit. Maybe they could make 5 or 6 variations of monster spawn locations in each section that can seamlessly swap as that would at least make the strikes less grindy.
I also hope for a 6 man wave based and maybe even a defend the base style game type.

The game has so many possibilities to grow from where it is now I hope they can expand from the base that Destiny started.

I want enemy types to act differently plus the random enemy placements like Pete mentioned

Take the very, very start of Destiny. The Fallen were crawling all over the walls, when did you ever see that happen again?

And they better not hide all the top level stuff in the Raid again.

Yep raids are great but some people just like playing single player or may only have 1 or 2 online friends and not want to team up with LFG people so they need to at least be given a chance to get the best stuff.

Good point.
I doubt it would take that much work to make it so that some monsters are more close attack minded while others stay back or try and ambush.

The Omnigal(sp?) strike is a prime example of a strike that plays out exactly the same every time with little or no chance for variation as you just had gooseberry fool running at you until you just ended up in the corridor leading to the final room and taking pot shots at the boss because staying in the room (unless you go into the cheese spot) was pointlessly hard.
I hear they have changed it so you have to stay in the room now and all that does is make me glad I've not bothered trying it lately as that sounds like zero fun and just a massive test of patience for very little reward.

As a side note I'll also be interested to see how they utilise the extra power of the Pro and Scorpio as they obviously can't add any exclusive content and need to make sure the game runs perfectly fine on base ps4/xbone.
I think they may even just not bother doing anything and just make the game run exactly the same on all systems.

Hmm...

Will you be like this one day?

;)

A few things I would like to see is a big transport (like Halo's Warthog or Tank) so we all can be able to go on together. And flying our spaceship in the universe if possible!

I would prefer to play like 3 other Multiplayer games than just Destiny.

If they decrease the grind in the next game maybe. But I'm honestly a bit tired of RNG loot games.

Does anyone else get a PS4 system notification saying "Destiny Downloaded" every time you play this?

well that won't change regarding the grind as it's based around the concept of leveling and an MMO because that's what it is but also an FPS. You take that part out and you don't have the same game at all.

Where did I say they should take it out?

you said decrease the grind, that is part of an MMO style game and leveling they have done. If you want it decreased more its basically removing it as it would be non existent.

Decreasing a 100+ hour grind to 30 hours is not removing it.

A few information about Destiny 2.

The Road Ahead 17h - Destiny Dev Team

Hey, everyone.

We’re planning to reveal the final live event for the Destiny 1 era next Wednesday. We’re calling it “Age of Triumph,” and we intend for it to be a fun and memorable celebration that will bring the first major chapter of our Destiny adventures to a fitting close. We’ll look back upon the three incredible years we’ve shared as a community, and look ahead to some final challenges and rewards that await you in the weeks ahead.

But first, we want to answer some important questions you’ve been asking about Destiny’s first full sequel.

Sequels represent the start of a new adventure for every player, with new worlds to explore, new stories to tell, new powers to acquire, new loot to earn, and much more. This led us to a decision that would enable us to serve both the game and the player’s best interests: Destiny 1 power, possessions, and Eververse-related items and currency will not carry forward. They will, however, remain accessible to you in Destiny 1.

We know that, just like us, you have grown fond of the Guardians you’ve created, so we do plan to preserve your character personalization. We are going to recognize the dedication and passion you’ve shown for this world. Specifically, the class, race, gender, face, hair, and marking selections for all characters that have achieved Level 20 and completed the Black Garden story mission will carry forward. We also plan to award those veteran accounts with honors that reflect your Destiny 1 accomplishments.

We believe this is the best path forward. It allows us to introduce the major advancements and improvements that all of us expect from a sequel, ensuring it will be the best game we can create, unencumbered by the past. We’re looking forward to sharing more details with you later this year for how we will honor your legacy in the future.

Before we do that, we’re going to deliver “Age of Triumph” at the end of March. To show you what it’s all about, we’re planning a series of livestream showcases. We’ll be reintroducing you to some members of the Live Team, and they’ll be showing you the content and activity updates that they’ve been working on. The dates and times are listed below.

We kick things off next week.

So new characters with just cosmetics taken forward?
I'm fine with that and I hope they can manage to fix the problems Destiny had. I hope we can get the old gang back together again for Destiny 2 as we had some epic times :D .

Buckle your seat belts boys.

It's a shame non of the guardians are wearing helmets in the poster. It's making the game look a bit like some Final Fantasy spin off.

I think it's one of those posters like 'You're the hero' type of things.

It's a bit of gooseberry fool poster really
