I'm not very far into DE:MD (left the apartment and had to quit playing), so please don't anyone take it as a slight against the game, but this is my favourite bit so far:

Those HL2 feels :datass:

It does have a very similar feel. Right down to the surveillance drones that fly around.

But then HL2 was very heavily influenced by Eastern European architecture so it's not surprising that there's a lot of similarities. Makes a nice change from America and Asia (Though that might turn up later.).

I don't have the game yet but I've been listening to some of the soundtrack. Really like this one, sounds like the UNATCO theme a bit.

Bloody hell, this game does not like going through the Steam Link one bit. I've never had this much trouble getting any game to be stable through it before.

Really tempted to dump the thing like it's shit-tier controller cousin and get an Nvidia Shield instead.

No spoilers but are any of the hub worlds that kinda resemble a neo Tokyo? All I see is a drab city

After 22 hours of flawless play (excluding Steam Link related issues), attempting to load my saves now seems to be causing crashes to desktop :(

EDIT - Managed to sort it by reverting to an earlier save from about half an hour earlier. Worked out in the end I suppose since I ended up completing the side mission I was doing in a different way.
For reference, the saves that were crashing were all created during the sewer section of Side Mission 11.

I spent over 2 hours trying to stealth take out everyone in the opening sandstorm in order to save that guy before realising it would count if I just turned invisible and sprinted to the helicopter

And then I played the game for like a day and have yet to report to the office for what I think the game calls mission 4. I broke into the bank and explored a load of it just for fun, but it's pretty obvious I'll be back there soon for a mission. At least now it's all opened up ready for me

Don't worry I am fully MGSing this game first time round - no kills, no alerts.

At least I hope a person spotting me for a split second so I can execute a takedown doesn't count. I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

I think it only counts if they go red/actively hostile.
I don't think yellow/suspicious will count as an alert.

Enjoying the game but the hacking bit really ruins it for me . Is there a way to hack all doors the simple way ?

Oh I've murdered people. Its too much fun not to. The cultist mission, i tried to line up 4 red barrels and get one of them to trip a mine :slol:

Didn't work so I jut shot a barrel and watched the carnage unfold.

Finished my first playthrough. Mostly Stealth/Stun, though I did a bit of killing in the tutorial section and triggered a few alarms that I escaped from. 27 hours with doing the side missions!

I purposefully didn't do Side Mission 8 because I found a Pocket Secretary that talked about the chip that Koller was going to install, and it seemed to imply that the chip could be used to deactivate someone's augments and essentially put a person back to human norm, so I figured it might be something like the chip update from the first game where not getting it is the better way to go. Seems I was probably wrong though

My next playthrough I might just go full psychotic Rambo.

Very enjoyable game overall, easily on par with the first one at the very least, though I do think the first one started out a little better.

New 4 GB patch.

Patch notes: More fixes and optimisations

:|

Side mission question: is it possible to get the calibrator from the underground casino without talking to the gangster? I've broken in trying to do it that way, but the mission marker in his office it just disappears when I reach it. Is the passcode pick on his desk connected to it?

edit: never mind. :fp: at self.
