Really? I thought 7 was cliche and predictable. They wasted a great opening and missed a brilliant opportunity with Lewis. Plus quinns story was blatant filler.

Definitely peaked at series 4 with trinity, he was a real monster.

Yeah, Quinn's storyline was filler, but most of the stories not involving Dexter are filler, it's just one of those things. His story was certainly better than him and Angel going around fighting all season 6. I disagree about Lewis, they obviously had no idea what to do with him and I thought it was kinda funny how just in the end he died a pretty pathetic death. He was a problem but he didn't fit into the grand scheme of things, so he had to go. The rest though was done great, the new dynamic between Dex and Deb was great and I loved some of the smaller moments. Don't get me wrong, it's not the best season of the show, but it was miles better than 5 and 6.

I thought they were setting Lewis up to be a true rival to dexter. Smart ruthless, knowing dexters secret, toying with him, taunting him with hand etc.

Plus his connection to Harrison gave a building threat. It was building nicely, and since he didn't meet the code would have proven a challenge for dexter. I was hoping an eventual reveal would show him to be a twisted fan of ice truck killer or more likely of the bay harbour butcher, who when snubbed turned his anger against dexter.

But then they just offed him cheaply with ultimately no payout other than putting Isaak onto dexters path.

Ehh, it was fairly standard for the most part. If you've been watching for this long you might as well see how it ends.

8x01- Dat Smith and Wesson product placement. Vogel seems fairly interesting but this show has made a habit out of squandering interesting premises.

I thought the third season was underrated. Bringing Miguel in was genius. The fourth will always go down as the best, and deservedly so.

Rubix, you realise there's a difference between Season Finale, Final Season and even Series Finale, don't you?

I only knew Smith and Wesson as an arms manufacturer so that was incredibly distracting.

New woman is pretty cool. She reminds me of the Doctor in Mass Effect. I'm going to predict that she's a serial killer.

Hopefully Dexter will become so deep into his code after he finds out that Harry used it to kill people too through the new woman that he has to kill Deb as she murdered an innocent. After he has killed her he is overcome with guilt and realises everything he has done is wrong and kills himself. Utter anti-climactic end.

I reckon the new woman might be some old love interest of Harry who possibly helped him create the code. Have we ever found out about Debs mum? if not could this be her?

If that's the case then the shark should be moved under the ramp pronto.

No, Deb's mother is called Doris and died of cancer when Deb was 16.

Yeah but they could just do a Prison Break and be like "lol ur mum int dead". Not unheard of to just strawberry float with backstories when it's convenient.

Definitely hope it's more interesting than that, though.

Then why wouldn't Dexter recognise her, considering he was raised by her for most of his childhood and teens? I'm pretty sure you can't write someone who died of cancer back in as a world expert on psychopathy.

I wasn't really being serious with that reply. I've only just got round to Season 4 of Prison Break after many years of only getting mid-way through season 3 and I'm bitter about how silly it's gotten.

Wait till 'the final break' :dread:

A whole tank of sharks was jumped during that.

I wish I could unwatch The Final Break, it ruined the finale for me.
