Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer - 27/6/17

Shame about the online only thing.

Erm, I just want to play the game and I'm not that bothered about this issue as my PC is always linked to the internet. I can see why people with laptops will be pissed off though and the problems I had with Settlers 7 where it wouldn't activate for days despite me having the collectors edition right in front of me have made me dislike this measure.
I wonder if this will make people choose the console version (if it's out at roughly the same time which I somehow doubt) over the PC version if they are pretty similar but the consoles don't need this restriction.

I just dislike the way it will prevent me from doing what I want with a game I purchased, even in an isolated single player mode. I had some great fun with Borderlands by messing around in it and giving myself guns with ridiculous stats, and it's this kind of fun Blizz don't want you to be able to have, because they want you to pay even more for the pleasure.

By rumours I of course mean Blizzard are trying their hardest to get it on consoles, it's more a matter of 'if they can' than 'will they'.

The family and friends beta has been launched. The press beta is being released soon, and they are allowed to put it on YT etc.

If we look at SC2, D3 should only be around 6 months away!

I hope it is a lot quicker, in theory the balancing concerns that SCII had with it's beta will not be what DIII will be going for, so hopefully we will get something far, far quicker. Though this year is but a pipe dream

I've been staying away from D3 for a bit now, so only just had a read through the changes and features. I was going to moan about the lack of a Necromancer class. It's what I always go in Diablo II and it's equivalent in Torchlight, so I was pretty disappointed when I didn't see it.

Then I read what the different classes do.

So have they said anything about the story? Are the prime evils returning? That is impossible I thought.

Also they look like they have copied a few things from other games. Portal stones etc. Potion cool downs.

That Husky guy has made some vids of D3 beta.
