The latest installment in the Bruce Willis action franchise will be named A Good Day to Die Hard, and will center around John McClane and his son getting involved in a prison escape.

Willis will return in the lead role, while Max Payne's John Moore will direct the film from a script drafted by The A-Team's Skip Woods.

20th Century Fox said in a statement: "Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy number one for terrorists the world over.

"Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy."

Filming is scheduled to begin in Russia in January, 2012.

I enjoyed number 4 - not as good as the others, but it wasn't a disgrace or anything like that. Certainly better than Indiana Jones: Here Come The Aliens!

As long they don't fly a F15 plane through under a carriageway again.

John McClane has probably killed more people than cancer.

Die Hard 4 was truly terrible. An awful, awful mess of a film.

I have no opinion on the new one, I just wanted to vent.

The forth was popcorn fodder, gooseberry fool compared to the others, but was alright.

I'm already hating this one, the title, the release date, apparently it's being directed by the Max Payne director as well :fp:

Die Hard 4 isn't even the worst Die Hard film.

4 was better than 2.

Die Hard > Die Hard with a Vengeance > Die Hard 4.0 > Die Hard 2: Die Harder (although that is blates the best name)

2 is so bad it's good. 3 is genuinely watchable. 4 is cringeworthy.
