I'm convinced it's just a lame parody. Anything else would be too embarrassing to willingly try to comprehend.

I just find the idea that people believe that Jacob Rees-Mogg could WIN an election so stupid its unreal.

Did they not pay attention to the last election? The appetite clearly isn't there.

He's not going to be the next leader. His 'popularity' will get him a more prominent role but that's all.

I think Activate is a stunt by Novara media.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Of course he isn't, but there seems to be a suprising number of people backing him! I'd love him to become leader because the Tories would be dead in the water.

Nigel "definitely not racist" Farage to address a far right rally in Germany hosted by the granddaughter of Hitler's finance minister.

Can't be, he's always told us that he isn't a racist. Good old man of the people Nigel wouldn't lie!

That must be a parody. Surely.

I’m not sure either way on whether it is a wind up. It is utterly ridiculous but in that video there didn’t seem to be any joke punchline or anything that was obvious satire. The memes are just as awful, but they are not a million miles away from the Trump memes we see from the alt-right.

https://amp.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/08/ian-paisley-jr-denies-100000-sri-lanka-holiday-claim

One of the Democratic Unionist MPs whose votes prop up Theresa May’s government has denied allegations that he took £100,000 in hospitality from the Sri Lankan government.

The North Antrim MP, Ian Paisley Jr, has referred himself to a Westminster watchdog committee amid allegations that he did not declare two all-expenses-paid holidays to the country in 2013

I wonder how much more DUP dirty laundry will be exposed now that they are being properly scrutinised by the UK media instead of the standard "them uns" antics of the NI press.

That interview is four car pile up. Maybot, engage soundbite.

I have to say Krishnan is damn good in terms of politics and holding people to account. He's like Paxman but without the smarmy attitude.
