She's literally saying that you can have an encryption backdoor without having a backdoor, because she doesn't even begin to understand how encryption works.
She insisted she does not want "back doors" installed in encryption codes, something the industry has warned will weaken security for all users, nor did she want to ban encryption, just to allow easier access by police and the security services.
What the strawberry float does she think that is if not a backdoor?
The BBC interview with her at the Tory conference was a funny. I forget the exact example she used for it, but she said she claimed she doesn't actually need to know about these things at all.
She also said it wasn't about encryption, but getting personal info from Whatsapp to aid in crime prevention.
She hasn't a hope in hell.
