That was 2015 me.
2017 me voted Lib Dem.

In 2015 the Tories under Cameron were a far more palatable option than they are now under May.

I think it's interesting to remark that there was a fairly strong correlation between level of education and being Remain. Not all Leave voters were uneducated but they were more likely to be.

Not all Leave voters are thick, but most thick people are Leavers.

BBC News wrote:A Labour MP has apologised for using "offensive and unacceptable" language at the party conference last month.

Norwich South MP Clive Lewis was filmed on stage at a fringe event in Brighton saying: "GET ON YOUR KNEES, BITCH" - the video emerged on social media.

Among female MPs criticising him was Labour's Harriet Harman, who tweeted: "Inexplicable. Inexcusable. Dismayed."

The Labour Party said the language "was completely unacceptable and falls far short of the standard we expect".

It is not clear who Mr Lewis, a former frontbencher, was addressing in the video. He is among several people on stage at the time.

Aaron Bastani, the co-founder of left wing website Novara Media, tweeted: "I was there. The video has been up at @novaramedia for a month - Clive was saying this to a man."

But after criticism of his alleged comments, Mr Lewis tweeted: "I apologise unreservedly for the language I used at an event in Brighton last month. It was offensive and unacceptable."

Among MPs lining up to condemn his language on Twitter were the Conservative Mims Davies, who suggested Mr Lewis needed to go on a training course.

A 63 year old Billionaire worth $4billion has won the elections in the Czech Republic. The centre-right Civic Democrats were second, far-right SPD third (they want Islam banned entirely). Like Trump, Andrej Babis is Eurosceptic, sympathetic to Britain wanting to leave, and self proclaimed 'anti-establishment'. He is also against the Euro. A coalition will now be required.

The Telegraph is speculating that another U turn is coming from May. This time on Universal credit.

There's talk today of Conservatives borrowing more to fund more house building too.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

In context it was so obviously a joke. The backlash against him is total bullshit.

So both Austria and Czech Republic now have anti EU and immigration leaders. I don't see either of them coming out of the EU anytime soon though.

A Scottish man has been sentenced to three months in jail for touching a man's hip in a Dubai bar.

Jamie Harron, from Stirling, was arrested in July and charged with public indecency.

He claimed he had simply been trying to avoid spilling his drink when he touched the man.

The 27-year-old electrician had already been sentenced to a month in jail for drinking beer and still faces further court proceedings.

The businessman who made the complaint against Mr Harron later withdrew it, but prosecutors in Dubai continued with the case

As Shakira once said, the hips don't lie.

I can't believe people actually consider Dubai as a holiday destination. It sounds like a horrible place.

It's not exactly a place to let your hair down. On the flip side, no crime!

I haven't seen him in a very long time (insert your own joke), but a cousin of mine lived in Dubai for a number of years and by all accounts had a nice time.

The thing with Dubai is that a lot of people make the mistake of thinking "Oh it's totally westernised"
On the surface it is, but it's literally only on the surface. Go even a little beneath the surface and it's the same as the rest of the Middle East.

Stroll around a beach in a bikini? No problem.
Turn up to a public shopping center in a bikini? You're getting arrested.

Get pissed in a bar in your hotel and then stagger back to your room? Go for it.
Be even slightly tipsy out on the street? You're arse is getting a beating and thrown into a cell.

If you go to the big malls, the entrances all have big signs on them saying what you can and can't do in terms of public displays of affection (A married heterosexual couple holding hands is fine, but a homosexual couple or a heterosexual couple making out? That's a no no) and what is appropriate dress. (Women cannot wear anything that will expose their shoulders. The indecency of it)

Dispatches: Who Deserves A Pay Rise looking at public sector pay a worthy watch on 4OD. Features a policewoman, on £22,000 a year, who was made homeless and is barely keeping her head above water once she's factored in rent (emergency shared accommodation with help from the council) and a nurse who earns £2000 a month and can barely afford everything either (massive rents and travel costs again).

My local fish and chips were run by a Chinese couple and was excellent. When they retired they were replaced by a British man. I now go to Marks and Spencer.

They Londoners? Can’t imagine earning 22k a year and not being able to get by. Not that it’s untold riches like.

Has to be down south. Up north 22k a year would be enough to rent a place, run a car and save up for a mortgage deposit if you knew how to budget.
