After Hammond's piece in the Times today on not budgeting for no deal, who do we think will get the sack first - Hammond or Johnson?

Agreed, much less danger for her in sacking him than sacking Johnson.

Pretty much. He’s made it easier for her with that article.

Maybe he feels he's already out and so he's washing his hands of the whole mess before he gets pushed. I really fear for us if this is the case, someone who's all aboard the Brexit hype train in charge of the economy would be a disaster.

The fact she's not doing this suggests to me that Philip isn't in the best of health.

Roaring about how much you support the troops probably takes the heat off a bit when you run editorials demanding military action over a patch of worthless scrub grass a thousand miles away.

It’s not just that (although it also is that!), it can be used for anything.

Black people kneeling for the anthem in protest at police murdering black people? SUPPORT DA TROOPS!

New laws being brought in to combat terrorism spy on the public? SUPPORT DA TROOPS!

Muslims existing? SUPPORT DA TROOPS!

Leader of the opposition caught “dancing”? SUPPORT DA TROOPS!

TV presenters shown without a plastic flower? SUPPORT DA TROOPS!

It’s easy and works every time.

Sorry, I should have been more specific that I was referring to Newton and the Sun in particular. Awful warmongers at that rag.
