If Le Pen wins - she wants a Frexit. I wonder if there's an equivalent forum to ours in France which will be similarly outraged over that?

Probably. I'd imagine on that forum there are people that oppose Frexit but will switch opinion as soon as their political party tells them to.

She won't win.

After the way things have gone in politics over the past year I don't know how anyone can confidently claim anything anymore. Couple that with a string of high-profile terrorist atrocities in France during that time and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if she won.

I would be absolutely astonished if Le Pen won. Thankfully Macron should easily clean up.

The polls/system aren't even similar to Brexit/Trump either. Macron would have to be found harboring terrorists to lose this one.

Depends on what Russia can pin on Macron.

Of course there is a chance she'll win, it's now a two horse race after all.

But her chance is very very small. The French left and centre will never vote for her and many on the right (not the far right!) will turn their noses up at her. She simply doesn't have the numbers.

The bigger threat in France is the left abstaining from the second round in protest. Many have said they will not vote for the centrist Macron, even if it's the only way to stop Le Pen.

I think saying she is unlikely to win is more reasonable. Definitively stating she won't in the same 12 month period of The Brexit vote and Trump winning. Well, it's bold.

What will likely happen is that she will get 30-40% of the vote and lose and the left will congratulate themselves on beating fascism, whilst completely ignoring the fact that 30-40% of people voted for someone labelled a fascist.

Those people will continue to be ignored (because we don't speak to people we disagree with anymore) which will fuel the far right even more and continue to flame tensions across communities.

Our universities are becoming very hoity toity these days : http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/looki ... 21776.html
Almost like a bedrock of orwellian and ultra left wing views. I may tell my son to spend his time on a beach overseas for 4 years instead. Far more broad minded approach

I recommend Valras Plage. Paloma is a nicer beach but employers are always on the lookout for a Valras Plage man.

A newsletter was sent reminding students that they should try to be be polite when speaking to people; that assuming people who aren't white aren't 'originally' British is a bit racist; and that mocking someone's accent could offend them.

WHEN WILL THESE LEFTIST AUTHORITARIANS STOP
