It's a sackable offence in the Civil Service too. But he's a politician so he can do what he likes I guess.

strawberry floating hell Sky News had a bit of a Fox News moment this morning. Niall Paterson was keen to announce the Labour leaders office "knew of the allegations" before promoting Hopkins.

Ended the show with a correction that it wasn't the leaders office that knew, but the press office (plus smug look as if to suggest that's a petty correction).
