There is on steam, because you can just instantly refund it if you see it doesn't work properly.

Got my first chance to play my PS4 copy last night. Didn't notice any performance issues; certainly nothing stuttering or tearing.
Got to mission 3. Absolutely loving it. No kills yet, but I'll definitely be going through again once I've done a low-chaos run so that I can utilise some of the new murderous abilities.
The levels are chock full of ways to approach the objectives. It's wonderful if you loved the first game.

Played any 5 hours of this last night on PC. It's a fantastic game no doubt, they've expanded on the original in pretty much all the ways I wanted and I've been having a blast.

That said the performance issues are undeniable, the frame rate fluctuates quite a lot and altering graphical settings really doesn't seem to make much difference. Contrary to other views online I've found that changing the AA setting has no real effect on the framerate.

There also doesn't seem to be much consistency in what causes the performance to drop, a big open city scene with lots of characters can play at 60fps, but standing indoors looking at a wall can drop to half that.

I'm playing as a slow stealthy character so the impact of the performance is not major compared to someone trying to go for a more kinetic approach, but a fix would still be very much appreciated as if the whole thing were locked at 60 it would feel incredible to play.

I really thought Arkane would deliver a spot on PC port like the original. Hell knows why this came out in such a poor state. Maybe it's the Void engine being based off of id tech 5, but I have no idea tbh.

Is it really that bad? I was going to buy it today. Dishonored 1 was flawless on PC, can't believe D2 is a technical shambles

Yea it is weird, that said Dishonored 1 was using UE3. The good thing I can say is Dishonored 2 does feel like the original in terms of gameplay, so it feels like you're stepping straight back into the same world. But I'd wait until the patch is out really. That's what I'm doing at the moment despite pre-purchasing it. I know it'll be great game one they fix the performance issues.

I'd risk it Brer and then get a refund if you have issues.

Oddly I've had no issues whatsoever, but appreciate I am lucky in that respect, as loads of people are having issues.

There's got to be something odd with my setup as have had nothing but trouble with Forza Horizon 3, yet this runs perfectly.

Launch sales down 38% from Dishonored 1, though that doesn't count digital. Maybe some people are waiting for, oh I dunno, reviews.

I got the PC version and I haven't noticed a single technical issue. What problems are people having?

I didn't even realise it was out last week. I loved the first game but I'm not really arsed about this one just now for some reason.

Generally poor and inconsistent performance, with altering graphical settings having little or no effect. The inconsistency of the drops in framerate is one of the most annoying things - it can be smooth as anything at 60fps in a busy city scene, but then drop alarmingly when just looking around a small room.

It's not been too bad for me compared to what others have described, but there's definitely a problem somewhere.

Can't say I've noticed anything like that, but I'm not particularly sensitive to minor frame rate drops I think.

Played another 3 hours of this last night. Not sure if the performance has improved as I've moved to other areas, or if I've just gotten used to it, but it's not putting me off too much any more.

The game though, this thing is truly special. If you weren't a fan of the original I don't think there is going to be anything here to win you over, but for me this is really something else. The blend of player agency, satisfying stealth, and the beautiful presentation and world building is just ticking all my boxes. I love the wealth of options on how to tackle situations, and not simply in a very pre-defined approach as seen in the recent Deus Ex games where every challenge seems to have an obvious hack/stealth/combat approach laid out for the player. This is much more a case of giving the players some tools, setting up rules for how the world responds to them and then setting you loose on a variety of objectives, improvisation and experimentation is very much the key and has been very enjoyable thus far.

Sadly the plot and delivery of the main story looks like it's going to be a bit of a let down, as it was in the first game. It's a shame they haven't learned a lesson there. That's one of the reasons why despite everything the Dishonored series has going for it as a modern "immersive sim" it's still falling below the bar set by the likes of Thief, System Shock, and Deus Ex. Each of those earlier games set up the key elements of the genre (world and systems simulation, player agency, a great combination of ways to interact with the world and an encouragement to explore and experiment with how those could be used) but also married them to engaging and compelling (if slightly ridiculous and hammy in the case of Deus Ex) stories and characters. Thief in particular being a masterclass in how it delivers it's narrative through cut scenes, environmental storytelling, player interactions etc.

Either way unless it cocks it up massively as I move onward then I have to say it's pretty much locked on as my game of the year right now.

Same, I know it'll be worth the wait despite this botched launch performance.

If anyone owns the DLC for the first game, it's worth paying through at least part 1 before playing this.

Yeah deffo for knife of dunwell, it kind of sets up a lot of things going into the sequel. Also bridge more witches is meant to be really good too. I'll play through it before the patch for dishonoured 2 is out!

Apparently there is an opt-in beta patch out for this on PC now. Anyone tried it out and seen improvements in performance?

I tried it with the new nvidia 370.95 drivers. The mouse feels better but I still get some stutter when turning plus framerate is still pretty bad. I'm using a GTX 970, so the first patch my show more improvement on pascal cards GTX 1070/80 etc.
