I'd like to think so, Kj, although I am concerned by the warning signals - no screenshots, no footage, no previews and a digital discount already being offered.

There were lots of commendations for the quality of the original release and it'd be a shame if the game was a poor port to the newer machines. I hope that it has had the time and polish that it deserves.

Should be fine. But then I think of the PS3 version only going up on Plus in May (it was May wasn't it?) and they surely had that plan of reducing the price by half for those who own the original well before it was put up on Plus. Suspicious :shifty:

There was a stream earlier this afternoon and the NeoGaf thread says that this is running at a definitive 30FPS.

Dishonored is a fantastic game but it's a huge disappointment that it doesn't run at 60FPS on the PS4 or X1. Lazy port is lazy.

I would buy it if it's a solid 30fps at 1080p. I just hate shitty unlocked framerates that dip badly.

This port has been poorly communicated. There is no doubt about it.

The main reason I've been put off is because I can download a copy to my PS4 for £14.99; because I owned a digital copy for PS3. "jawa, have you gone mad?!?"

But... fifteen quid. From PSN. It was suspicious. Was this actually a decent offer from a publisher? Are digital prices finally going to be lower than a disc version?

And now we know why - it seems to be a quick and dirty port.

I'll just stick to the PS3 version I already owned digitally (before it was added to PS Plus. Damn those sales.)

And the small fact that I could never get into the game at all. Just not in the mood to play it at the time.

I'm guilty of pre-downloading this a few weeks ago.

Thing is, although it was free on 360 and I own it, I'd never go up to spare room to do so, so im ok to play it on Xbox One on massive telly.

This and Gears unlock on friday and im out the entire day and night with work. :fp:

I can never get into stealth games in general. I really wanted to like this game, but games where the goal is to purposefully not interact with anything I don't find fun apparently. Only realised recently.

Why didn't you just buy it from the American store where it's cheaper and available now?

You don't have to play stealthily because you have the choice to be as destructive as you want.

I don't remember reading anything against it in the terms and conditions.

Unless it goes super cheap in a sale on PS4 then I'll just stick to my maxed out, 60fps,1080p complete with all dlc PC edition that hasn't been played yet (well past the first hour or so anyway)

Seeing as the two games have been available to play in some capacity since 2012 and 2006 respectively (and have also been upstairs), what's another night?

Settle down man. You really do have a chip on shoulder about me.

I'm not doing the 'remaster' roulette with you anymore, it bores me. 8-)

I just have a chip on my shoulder about vacuous comments.

I was mainly being tongue in cheek, and found it funny that you were moaning about not being able to play it, when you could have just gone upstairs. Especially given that the Dishonored port seems like a no-frills conversion.

It's also odd, given that you seem to hoover up most remasters, that you are bored of reading my comments over and over again. I thought you'd go back to them quite often, seeing as I just keep repackaging the same opinion with barely any changes.

WINK.

I never stealthed the whole game, i just massacred everything .I might have been sneaky at the start whilst i was gaining my powers but if things got nasty i just went all out evil and killed everyone.

The game was far too easy if you didn't stealth it though. If you went the combat route you were literally an unkillable god.

My first playthrough was no kill no alerts, and then my second was anything goes extreme violence to get the bad ending (and it was super quick because of it). My third I did a self-imposed powerless playthrough with no kills no alerts on very hard, which was the most fun. There is only one point in the game where using a power is necessary (you have to use blink once in order to get back inside the palace), but other than that it was fun to complete the game as a "normal" person rather than a murdergod.

I watched outside xbox playing original last night. 3 of them played 3 VERY different ways, one of them was stealthing fully, the other was half and half and last one was just moyda'in everyone. They didnt agree to anything its just how they played it. I was impressed how different the assassinations and entry points to buildings etc differed.

That was my favourite part of it. I wanted to be that evil bastard god that paused time and destroyed everything. Felt good.

Yeah this was something very similar to what myself and my two friends played like, we all played it and then told each other what we did and it differed so much it was great. It was just nice to discuss a game and go through all the levels and discuss how we all approached it and what the outcomes were.
