Really don't understand the remaster games hate, if you don't want it then don't buy it!

I personally enjoy them, I like owning better versions of games I really enjoyed so I'll be picking this up

People don;t like them because it's resources pooled into games that should have either been better but were not (and then given a load of BS as to why) or were already fine as they were.

The way things are going there will be strawberry float all else to buy. Just shelves and digital distribution stores full of over priced games from last gen with HD texture packs.

It also adds fuel to the "no gaems" argument, that the only thing on these new expensive consoles is games you've already played, but now have the opportunity to buy all over again. Also they're the only thing they seem to be able to get to run at full HD & 60fps.

Regarding DmC, i'm one of those awful casuals who played it through once on the easier difficulties, enjoyed the experience but am not going to drag myself across the increasingly masochistic settings over and over again. Also it was only a tenner on steam with all the extra stuff, and i'll never need to buy another version of it again

I can already play this at 1080p on Ultra settings @ 60fps and it only cost me £10 a week after release :datass:

Still need to finish it :fp:

Sleeping Dogs DE didn't run at 60fps.

I'm one of the bastards who is going to buy this because I loved this game and didn't think it got the support it deserved. Plus I love Ninja Theory.

There's really no pleasing some people though. They literally added in EVERYTHING all the hardcore fans wanted and there's still stupid teenage anime fans complaining because it wasn't there in the first place.

It makes me embarrassed to be associated with people like that.

Also, why are people okay with multi generation games like Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age, but have a massive problem when an older game gets ported? It's literally no different.

Also isn't this £29.99? That's hardly overpriced. Amazon will probably have it for cheaper.

Here's the trailer in 60fps for anyone interested

It also blows my mind that there are people that think the story in DMC4 was better than the Story in DmC.

I love how 1080p and 60fps have now become front-of-box features

It really isn't though. Releasing games on several platforms at the same time to cover a market that hasn't fully switched over to the new consoles isn't the same as releasing a game on a new platform on which it wasn't released in the first place, with the added "benefit" of charging you full whack for it all over again.

How about instead if you could put your existing DmC disk into the new console, then download this new version for a nominal fee as a sort of expansion pack? You would have to have the old disk in the drive to play it, as that would verify you haven't borrowed a disk just to get hold of the new version, but doesn't that sound a lot fairer?

From what I've seen, I could just go to http://dmcmods.com and get all these new features for free. So they are selling people mods that are available for zero money on PC.

Sure. But you could say that about any PC game.

Consoles are all about convenience.

I just want to put in a game and play it, not have to download a strawberry float load of mods and then have to dig through files and configs if something goes wrong or if it's not optimised properly for my particular set up.

A good game is a good game. I'd prefer more people were able to play this than them buy another Assassin's Creed.

This is the kind of gamers game you don't get much of any more.

Sure I'd hate it if they were porting rubbish and it was selling. But exposing more people to a great, fun, artistic game is not a bad thing.

This is a terrible argument coming off the back off stuff like Driveclub, MCC and AC: Unity and a multitude of patches and system updates for both of the big two. While consoles are still more convenient than PC's for most people, the only home console on the market that is simply plug and play is going to be the one that this re-release won't be appearing on.

There were over a hundred million consoles that were capable of running this game in it's original incarnation. There still are. If people really wanted to play the game they would have done and yet at the last count only 1.6m customers were interested.

This is a cash-grab at the time of the generation when the release schedules for the new consoles may be sparse. It's this type of regurgitation of the same titles over and over that's going to wound this industry, if not kill it.

Because they are stupid?

Platform exclusives?

The ability to buy the same game 5 times?

That and convenience are the only reasons. If PCs were less of a faff I wouldn't game on consoles nearly as much.

On PC you don't buy the same game 5 times, but you buy 5x more games than you actually play and finish

However they cost 5x less than console games so it matters not.

Seeing as we're going in this direction:

Its a brilliant game, you should buy the PS3/X360 version now and then get the PS4/XBone version next year and play it again!!

I would love Ninja Theory to do the same with Enslaved......adored that game

I really enjoyed it, it was my GOTY when it was released. Hooked me from start to finish.

Never tried Heavenly Sword, was that any good?
